Even Cowgirls Get the Blues

My sister received this book as a gift from me one Birthday when she was relatively young. I don't remember exactly why I chose it though.

Good choice for a girl of say 14?

(I have not read the book)

Tom Robbins is one of my favorite authors. Perhaps my favorite book of his is Jitterbug Perfume - though thats a toss up with Skinny Legs and All...

Cowgirls was the first Robbins book I tried to read... and couldn't get past the first chapter. Years went by and I finally read another one of his books. And quickly went through everything he had written up to that point. With nothing else left I finally went back to Cowgirls. And after making it through the first chapter I loved it... *smile*

Robbins is a treasure. His words resound with the magick that he writes about.

Dillinger. Jitterbug Perfume is one of my all-time favorite books. :)

I had the same problem with Skinny Legs and All that you did with Cowgirls. I tried and tried but couldn't get through the first chapter.

Robbins is not for young girls, mouse. He has a most unique take on things. Incredibly abstract, but once you get into the grove with him, there's no looking back.

Where were you 7 years ago? So she is a bit wacky, she's cool shit. I'll take credit for the good stuff and blame the rest on TV.

Guru, the soundtrack is what inspired this thread for me. :)

k.d. rocks my soul.

my girlfriend in law school looked like kd lang

:p

Siren,

k.d. has always been and remains the ultimate lesbian for me.

Just looking up her sites tonight for lyrics got me hot. I mean it.

When I was into the lesbian scene, I went after the "boy/girls" that looked like her.

I know, this blows a lot of fantasies for men. The ones in which two fem women smeared lipstick all over each other.

But for me, it was those boy-looking les babes that rocked me.

They still do. Mmmm.

Yes my girlfriend was a boy/girl

:p

Why thank you Siren. :) I guess I would have to cut off a whole lot of hair to qualify as the boyish les type.

It's good to see we have the same taste in women. :)

It doesn't blow anything for me...two lesbians doing the dance of carnal knowledge is fantastic unless they both are big gym teacher types, then it's still ok

guys are such pigs
