I guess fraudulently calling Elliot Rodger a MRA didn't work after all? In 2014 the number of people who called themselves feminists was 20%.

Now it's 18%.

Even though Americans believe we need to do more to achieve gender equality. No doubt Salon doesn't realize that this probably means shit like stop laughing at male victims of domestic violence and rape, as well as fighting back at Republican rape culture.

http://www.salon.com/2015/04/09/a_m...ality_so_why_dont_they_identify_as_feminists/

A majority of Americans support gender equality — so why don’t they identify as feminists?

The vast majority of Americans have finally come around to the idea of people of different genders having equal rights. Great! Here’s one thing that could make that news even better: If people actually identified with having a belief in gender equality.

According to a new poll from Vox, an overwhelming number of respondents said they believed in equality — but when it came to identifying as feminists, one might never guess that was the case. Eighty-five percent of people favored “equality for women,” and 78 percent agreed that they believe in the “social, political, legal, and economic equality of the sexes.” But when asked if they considered themselves to be feminists, not even a fifth of Americans polled said yes.

it's called demonization

think MRA and Paul Elam, Gamergate, and Roosh come to the mind of the uninitiated

think feminist.. and Andrea Dworkin, Camile Paglia, and burning bras come to mind to the uneducated too

they want everything feminisim has given them, identify with feminisms goals

as the article continues from where you left off

People don’t think talking more about feminism is a bad thing. Thirty-five percent of people said they think feminism is being discussed more, and nearly as many think that’s good.

What’s more, Americans believe there is more work to be done to achieve gender equality — which might sound like stating the obvious, but it’s become clear that we need to lay these things out sometimes. More than three-quarters of people said that women don’t have full equality in work, life or politics, and that there’s still work to be done. Given the overwhelming support for equality the poll found, maybe people will get to doing that work.

Wait, you mean that MRAs - who make up less than ONE PERCENT of the populace - and have absolutely ZERO positive media attention ever - have ruined your reputation?

You're getting warmer. The feminists, who co-monopolize the media alongside misogynist Conservatism, have ruined themselves. People like you bring feminism down on a daily basis. You and your self-hating pal lovecraft68.

That doesn't mean they are discussing feminism in a good light. Considering only 18% of people want to be called feminists - you know, the same people who are saying talking about feminism is a good thing - the takeaway from this is people need to also speak up about feminist hypocrisy.

You know, like
HEFORSHE and SHEFORSHE and nobodyforhe.

The takeaway from this is that when it comes to achieving gender equality, men's issues also need to be addressed. Try adding that into the same poll. Your hair will be blown back.

It's telling when feminists like you have an allergic reaction to "men's issues."

Do you want to know why the MRA doesnt get positive media attention?

because they dont ever do anything positive

now dont get pissy... what domestic shelters have the mRA built, what charities have they founded, how many marches have they thrown, how many cause have they thrown support behind that werent exclusively about men

the largest MRA organization in North America has done literally nothing with their donations but thrown frivolous lawsuits that they almost always lose or get tossed out of court... they dont do any of the above

with feminism we have whackadoodles aplenty.. if the most prominent feminists in the world were Paglia and Dowrkin we'd make up less then the MRA currently does

but we also have oddles of great pioneers, feminists and third wave feminists.. in politics, religon, finances and sports

where are the MRA that will stand up and be the same positve role models

as of right now, they dont exist

and without a public positive face all that's left to focus on is the negative shit

if the Men's Rights Movement wants to gain credibility, its going to need credible prominent folks.. and its sorely lacking in that

and spare me the lecture on ignoring men's issues... all I have to do is say Article 377 to show you how little you give a shit about men's issues

It doesn't help that the average male would assume that he by definition cannot be a feminist. He can support feminists but he cannot be one because he's a guy. I would fall in that camp.

My opinion is that you'd be wrong. If you want an an egalitarian society, you're pretty much by default a feminist

but then there are those who want to tell you and define to you what a feminist or feminism is

fuck em

if you support it, you're part of it

No, you'd be an egalitarian. Feminism by definition only cares about women.

That's why there was no feminist protest against this

That's why feminists are fighting to defend paternity fraud

And why feminists say boys can consent to sex with women and women shouldn't go to jail for statutory rape and that boys who are raped by women should be punished with child support

Feminists killed Erin Pizzey's DOG because she said men are also victims of domestic violence. They also mock male victims.

Feminism has no framework to deal with the issue of male expendability, which is a problem among all animal species, not even just humans. It is the actual CAUSE of Patriarchy.

Feminism only sees men as expendable minions. (See: HeForShe)

Feminism has literally NO ideological framework for homeless men (who make up the majority of homeless people, more than women and kids COMBINED) and feminism LITERALLY denies that hypergamy even exists, while brazenly engaging in it.

Feminism only cares about women, and it does a piss poor job of that:
