I can deal with the Phillies. :) But nobody comes better than my boys :) The Sox aren't very far behind the Yanks as far as pay but I think the way they carry it about is much classier than the Yanks and overall better. A lot of times its as if the Yanks are soley there for the win....the love of the sport means nothing to them these days.

Just a request... could you go back to the naughty santa's elf AV? It always put me in such the Christmas spirit!

I love baseball, ever sence I first played T-Ball to many years ago. I played till my junior year in high school. Just had something happen to make me not want to play anymore. Baseball became a job. It was not fun to play in my area. If you wern't the coaches kid, or if you wern't the cool kid, you didn't play. I was good, and I enjoyed the fun of the game. I loved the history of it. I enjoyed that I was playing the same game as George Brett, Babe Ruth, Shoeless Joe Jackson among many many others.

I loved going to minor league games, meeting the future stars. Going to see the Tigers play. I loved that the Tigers would come to Toledo to play the Mud Hens. It was the greatest thing to me. Then i grew up. I seen that in the majors there were diffrent types of teams. The teams like the Yankees that had a great tradition, and they acted like everyone should get down and bow to them because 60 years ago, they had Ruth, Mantle, Gehrig. The issue is also that the city of New York, has that same better then everyone else attitude.

I am one that I like to have people that seem human to me. I mean look at how New York treats A-Rod. He is by far the best player on the team. If this was any other team, he wouldn't be getting booed because he won a MvP? Look at how boston reverse its players, or how about the Cubbies? I mean the loveable loosers (boston no more). Its because they have class.

Sorry to have a rant about sports in the thread Eva, but its still something i am passionate about :).

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Hiya Eva Merry Christmas Hun wanted to stop in before running out and sa hi Hope all is well and talk with ya soon :rose:  :)

Watch it, Husky! ;)

Like I said, I can see past your baseball allegiance since you make that BoSox bathing suit look so damn sexy! :nana:

Anyway, how was your day? Have any big plans for the holiday?

Haha funny.
My day....I worked all day yesterday, and I just woke up---gotta work all day today but today I have this nasty virus going through my system. Perfect timing i know :( We're having the whole side of the family on Mom's side over tonight---tomorrow it's dad's whole side over for another big bash. :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

thanks lol. I like Baseball, College basketball is HUGE here. Football my husband has slowly gotten me into. College football. I don't understand the concept of hockey (yes I know Boston is a hockey place, oh well) and golf...my husband LOVES golf, I think it's the dumbest sport ever. :)

I love almost all sports, but i have priorities. A beautiful woman always comes first :).

Baseball is my passion, hockey is my sport though. Hard to explain lol.

I think my hatred of the Yankees set me up for the passion of the sport.

How ofton you go to the Bo Sox games?

So besides sports what else you into?

re

I hear you about the golf, I agree. As for Hockey, being Canadian, all I can say is its something you have to play to fully appreciate, I believe at least.

When it comes to watching Sports, College Basketball is number one in my book. Baseball, I can turn on any baesball game and enjoy it simply because of the science of the game and all the little things that are going on at every moment. I can watch football for a lot of the same reasons and like I said, Hockeys in my blood, but I'd rather play.

p.s. Yankees Suck!!!!!!!
