As a matter of fact, do we even know that what we're watching is the real games? They've come a long way with CGI graphics since Toy Story, you know...

Oh, you're right, Randi!!! And you know that whole thing with Zidane had to be scripted...

Dammit !!! I missed the best game so far.
Oh, this EM is going bad for me. Almost every single predicition I made so far was wrong. I only got two games right so far in the Predictor game plus I blew my joker.
Italy didn't win.
I supposed that Sweden-Bulgaria could have been a draw. (Not quite right)
If Germany loses tonight I'll consider becoming a tennis-fan !

Snoopy, :(

My predictions for today are the Czechs to pull a Sweden on Latvia, and a draw (with goals) on the Germany-Netherlands match.

And why should I believe words from the one who predicted a mammoth win for Portugal?

Good prediciton. Except that it's wrong.

Latvia will pull a Denmark on the Czechs (0-0 or 1-1) and Germany will whoop the orange boys' hineys.

It's surely too much to believe that Latvia have the game to upset the Czechs, but any one of us who doesn't havce that as a joker game is gonna look very happy if we're all wrong.

Germany have had the evil eye on the Dutch for a long time in major tournaments. I've gone "draw", without being that convinced.

Oh, but we are looking at 1-0 in the first game and 0-0 the second, because I put 12 down as my tie-break for goals scored... which was looking pretty cool until the Swedes went barmy.

Porto's streets are flooded with Dutch fans. Everywhere I look there's orange. I thought it would be more even between them and the Germans, but if the number of fans is to be any indication of the outcome of the match, we have a winner.

And let's not forget the Dragon's Stadium grass came from the Netherlands...

I will go over shortly to change the outcome from draw into a winner for the Dutch. Not that I really believe it.
:D

It's more a matter of wishful thinking.
Groan, I have 6 Dutch players.

OLé, OLé, OLé, OLé

Hi everyone...

i've got no interest in todays games (player wise) i'll be watching both games tho just coz its footie :D

My joker is today Lativa to lose against Czech's and i've got Draw for the Holland-Germany game but thats as far as my interest goes

Giving us all a chance to catch up, are ya?

So, just how far north is north, England wise?

Im only letting you catch up for now wait till the next round of games and ZZ and Henry and my England lot and Puyol will shoot me farer infront again :D

Barnsley is as far north I am...

I got Puyol too.. and some English players... and .. and... well, not a lot else, actually.

I'm Nottingham way, myself. Not so desperately far.

Seems it's either you or me that scores big time on that game tonight.

Don't worry, I'm good at comforting losers.

Bring on the Dutch, we're ready.
Probably only one real striker on the field in our side tonight, being Kevin Kuranyi. Might work though, if we are able to play a good defensive soccer and then try to create one or two chances.
The problems being, a.) we need too many chances to score. :(
and b.) we won't be able to hinder the Dutch in producing chances themselves over 90 minutes. :( :(
So my heart wants a win for germany, most certainly ! But my mind tells me it'll be a draw.
And I predicted a Chechz win as well.
But given the fact that my prediciting skills so far are pretty much shit, I suppose there could more surprises be involved today.

Snoopy

Snoop, who is scoring all the goals in the Bundesliga? You guys seem desperately short of quality strikers over the last few years, which is amazing when you think about the past.

I think I want the Netherlands to win (only cos I'm English and cheering for the Germans isn't the done thing. :p), but, I think Germany will win.

They'd bloody well better, cos that's what I predicted.

From what I hear, neither team is in very good form. Could be an interesting one.

Lou, no matter what else happens, the Germans will do enough to progress so they can beat us on penalties in the knock-out phase.

Voodoo Warning

Swiss Soccer Fans Pin Down England with Voodoo Campaign

ZURICH (Reuters) - Swiss fans have taken to voodoo to pin down England ahead of their Euro 2004 match Thursday.

"Join in - give the English pains in their legs on June 17 against Switzerland," said the newspaper campaign which shows an effigy of England captain David Beckham with nails, screws and tacks stuck in his legs.

"This might help: Rip out this page, stick it to the wall, give it a good going-over with nails, needles and the stapler. And believe in it," said the advertisement, a tongue-in-cheek campaign to promote Swiss advertising agencies.

England captain Beckham broke a bone in his foot in 2002 just before the World Cup although he played in the tournament.

I don't know shit about the sport, but I do know about voodoo...lol

Quite!

That's the major reason I want the Netherlands to beat them. Who knows what will happen in the group of death, though.
