LOL! :D

Oh yeah, that's just reminded me of something I found very amusing in the France - England match. Bartez's "save" on Vassell's strike on goal, "In the face, mate!"

I PMSL at that. Cruel, but very funny! :D

Lou :D

LOL

Barthez met the threat "head on". :D  :D

Night, night.

Ahhh, thanks Lou

Just responding now, not because I'm so bloody slow on this posting malarky (although I am) but because I dissapeared again after my first post to go commiserate with my friends watching the game. No hugs from them though  so it's better here.

I've got loads of hugs to give, hon. ;)

P.S. I thought you were very funny in that extremely fast moving thread last night. :D

True! And I'd rather have Beckham anyday. ;)

Especially when he blows 100% opportunities like this right?

But I am feeling with you ... seriously. Those bloody Tommies have ruined the whole game. Although in the predictor game I picked exactly this result I am as mad as the next british lad (or gal for that matter) How in the world could they lose this fucking game? First Beckham blows this damn penalty (and like the Kaiser Franz Beckenbauer said he shouldnt even have taken the shot) ... than your bloddy goalie thinks he is in wrestling and charges Henry (?) ... Damn it. I watched with a friend and around the 88th minute I said "this is over, no way there will be another goal" and than this happens. In every other game I would have begged for such an ending ... but not for the damned french men ... GRRRRR ...

And Schumi won also ... this was clearly not my day :( ...

Anyway ... *hugs* for you Lou and all the english people around here. That was clearly not the ending everyone was hoping for.

Thank you, sweetie! You summed it up pretty well there. Not only the key events in the game, but also the myriad of emotions I also went through.

I've calmed considerably now, though, but I know I (and the rest of England) would have been on a big high all week if the game had ended at 1 - 0. :(

*hugs*

Ok, so that wasn't normal then? That makes me feel a little better.

I think there should be a training forum, you know where people exchange techniques on window management and cut'n'paste speed tips.

I prefer L's calculations... I got 17 points instead of 19, mostly thanks to Puyol and Casillas.

Three England players in for tonight's game, though...
My calculations ARE correct, unlike the game's. They didn't take into account the 2 points you'll get from your Greek sub, yet. ;)

On a funny side note though ... the moment the game was over I thought "Oh dear ... Lou must be mad as hell right now. I shouldnt get near her for a while" :D ...

Damnit ... Have I mentioned I hate my computer? Lately he started those damned freezing thingys again... Like I already said, this is clearly not my day ...

No, that wasn't normal. It happens now and again, especially when my lovely Lew is involved. He tends to get over-excited. :D :p

As for "training", stick around, you'll soon be up to speed. Especially now you are no longer weighed down with the virgin status. ;)

Don't tell anyone, honey, but Beckham is the most overrated player in the history of the sport. I'm sorry about the way it ended, and think the fairest result would have been a draw, but it really wasn't very surprising. :(

Awww! You thought of me! That's really lovely. :D

And, yes, you were right to stay away for a while. "Mad" is not a strong enough word for what I was feeling right after the match.

I've got Campbell, Gerrard and Lampard... no French! So, I guess it's clear the kind of result I want tonight.

Has anyone seen Laur today? Or do we think she is wearing black and getting sloshed?
Not at all! I was simply otherwise engaged all day. :D

Thanks for the support :rose:

Off to get some rest now, need to find out what "you're not singing anymore" is in French before the final... :D

He's had his moments, but right now, I am inclined to agree with you.

And, yes, a draw would have been very fair.

Lauren may be recovering from last night's festivities. Dont know what they were doing in Porto but in Lisboa it was party night, same again tonight, I'll probably go in to the city after the game to research my 'Atmosphere' diary.
The big day over here is S. João, on the night of 23rd to 24th. ;)

Funny thing is ... in the predictor game I predicted a 2:1 victory for the french ...

It's all your bloody fault, then!
