After each matchday during the group stages, you can trade one player, if you want. You can trade more players, but must pay 2.00 for each additional transfer.

After the group stages, I think the market is open again (for the quarter finals, at least) and you can trade the whole team without penalties.

After selecting your squad, you can still deal in the transfer market. Unlimited squad transfers can be made. During the group stage, 1 transfer(s) can be made each Matchday without charge. All additional transfers made in the same Matchday will deduct 2 point(s) from your total. Free transfers are not carried over from Matchday to Matchday. All transfers before the competition starts and after the Group stage finishes are made at no cost.

Player prices vary during the group stage dependent on the popularity of the player in the transfer market.

That's pretty optimistic. Both Spain AND Germany in the finale???
Well I would enjoy if it went that way. I don't know if you guys have seen what happened after germany returned from the finale of the last World Cup. A huge crowd of fans cheered and welcomed then. It really was a great experience. Couldn't imagine what would happen IF they actually brought the cup home from Portugal.
Damn, I was too young (and not into football yet) to really get the atmosphere from '90's win of the World Cup but it was awesome.

He probably is! I want to give Scolari the benefit of doubt, but he doesn't make it easy for us.


Edited to add: Moreira was the goalkeeper in the under-21 team that finished 3rd in the U-21 Euro2004, yesterday, and gained access to the Olympics. Will only join the rest of the A-squad today, so won't even get much practice with them before the match...
