My feelings have mostly disappeared about this particular issue

Uhuh. Until next time. These issues never go away... which is why relationships are works in progress, and you have to keep the communication open, and be accepting and understanding of each other. Because issues like this always reoccur.

Sucks, dunnit?

Can I just say that trying to do publicity for an adult blog is really hard? I have great PageRank on my personal site, without even trying. Now I'm trying to build up Cyber Dyke Blog and none of my usual resources are helping. Blogsnob and Blog Explosion don't take adult sites. Google Ads won't let you sign up with an adult site, and neither will many other ad services. The ones that do are all expensive. Many linkware template sites won't allow you to use their designs on an adult site, even if the design itself is kind of raunchy. I am getting about 35 hits/day, compared to several hundred hits a day on my regular site.

I spent $10 on a Metafilter text ad; so far it has a click through ratio of 2.36% ...not that I know if other MeFi ads do better.

Argh :p

I suppose it's understandable that there is a discrimination against adult-oriented sites. Kinda sad though.

You know, when is there gonna be a day that not all adult content is going to be equated with xxx cockcrazed jizzmops.com?

no time soon, let's not hold our breath.

CyDyBlog is really hot. Someday I'm going to spend money on porn and join one of those sites. :)

Woo, thank you! It's great to know that not only is somebody reading it, but enjoys it. And I really think you would like the CyDy network...from what I know of you, there's a lot on there that would turn your crank. ;)

I'm off to take my certification exam today...cross your fingers for me! I'm trying not to be nervous. This will take up most of the day, and then I'm gonna get LAID tonight (hopefully) ;)

Hmmm... you can be odd at times, Etoile. But I would never had thought you certifiable.

I was in a mental hospital briefly as a teenager; does that count?

I actually have a pretty positive feeling about the test. I was afraid I'd walk away knowing that I failed. But I feel pretty good about how I did, so maybe - just maybe - I passed. :)

So when do we find out?

those gay men have all the luck!

God, have you seen what gay men have to put up with in relationships? *shudder* I don't think I have ever felt gay men are lucky. But somehow, they do seem to (collectively) have way better fashion sense to the rest of us mere mortal males.

Not for seven or eight months, unfortunately. There is a huge backlog right now, and the raters are not exactly prompt. :p

That's true. In fact, from a lesbian's point of view, I don't see how gay men manage to have relationships at all! Many men are hard to handle. (Okay, I'm being really sexist, but it's my damn thread!)

I am jealous of how readily the Daddy culture is understood, though.

Bugger! I hope you don't have to wait that long to get laid!

By the way Fungi, I love that you seem to be subscribed to this thread. You and I can have whole conversations in here before anybody notices. :)

From a heterosexual male point of view, I don't see how gay men manage to have relationships at all. Actually, that's a bit unfair to the gay men I know, one of whom is a gorgeous steady guy. But the majority of them are so... precious? Drama queens!

No, I don't regard them as lucky at all. Hell, I know what women have to put up with me! *chuckle*

I have had to chuckle at some of the envious comments women reporters have made over the gorgeous guys that Ian Mckellon brings to events... :D

You do?

Hmmm... gay women. Who can understand them? *chuckle*

Me, I drool over Miranda Otto. And I saw her first, so you can damned well back off!

Oh yes, I've long said that I would have Ian McKellen's babies if we weren't both gay! I like Johnny Depp too, he's a pretty boy.

On the female side, k.d. lang and Jenny Shimizu are among the many many women who trip my triggers. Actually, my wife and I both want to kidnap k.d. lang and keep her locked away for our own nefarious purposes.

Yes. You'd mentioned your k.d. lang obsession before. You naughty wench you.

I don't know a Jenny Shimizu.

Had I? She's so dreamy that I forget... http://www.amanita.net/images/smilies/haha.gif

I don't know a Jenny Shimizu.
She's a lesbian model: http://www.clublez.com/movies/lesbian_celebrities/s/shimizu_jenny/

She's a bit on the skinny side, but I'd be happy to feed her a sandwich.

Oh, and I forgot to mention Teri Hatcher. She was my first celebrity crush. I got her autograph once by waiting outside a stage door for a couple of hours; she is much shorter than she appears on screen!

Isn't everyone? It's a well known phenomenon -- the camera adds 20 pounds and 6 inches.
