Pretend that I'm a foreigner totally innocent of western culture and have learned my English as a Second Language out of a bible or some other old book.

Can someone please explain the phrase, "Bite Me!"

Thanks!

"Bite Me!" is a more socially acceptable way of saying "Gum my knob."

Telling someone to place their mouth on your genitals is an insult in any language. That's what "Bite me" means.

Anyone want "So's your old man!" explained?

Bite me: bite my buttocks, eat my dust, kiss my foot
So's your old man: yo mama, et tu, Brutus? takes one to know one, see bite me

Thanks,

I hear you all saying that the phrase is in the same class as "Fuck You!"

It's an insult except to those very close to you, where it is could be invitation instead.

Of course, if you softly whisper it into the ear of a stranger, that can be consided an invitation too!

I'd be careful with strangers. What if they had steel teeth?
