I'm planning on doing a discussion on erotic stories in BDSM at our Munch followed by a reading of a favourite story.
Among the regulars of our much I'd say there are not really many readers, whereas there is a big trade in BDSM related DVDs - the visual stimulus seems to be used much more than the written word. While I think there are some great DVDs about somehow I find the use of the imagination that goes along with reading erotic stories is often far more erotic.
So I want to stimulate people to think about the positive benefits of reading erotic stories in the scene. Do people find them a useful substitute when they don't have a partner? Do people read them together to get ideas for scenes? Are newbies reading stories to help them think about what they might like to try? Or is it mainly used by people online who can't or don't want to have r/l play?
I'd be interested in what people think about this - and what they find exciting \ positive about reading BDSM related stories.
