Endless Ends

While you two sat up late at night talking about obscure horror movies, I was dealing with the horror of tropical storm Helene, with its potential of several days without power. Thus far only sporatic outages in the immediate area, but the storm hasn't cleared the area yet. :(

On the subject of body horror The Substance is INSANE. And the nudity is pretty great, if that's your thing. :p

Oh, no!! Are you situated on the southern part of the state?! For some reason I thought you were on the coastal side. Do you still have power?

I saw that 4 million are without power, all the way to North Carolina. Florida impact may be out of power for a month. 😬

Muy interesante.

Gonzo? The internet is not defining that term for me properly. So . . . humor horror? Zany or out there visuals?

It gets good reviews.

And there's gratuitous nudity. Hear that @hotwords229_A ? :p
I think gonzo is basically unconventional or bizarre. Which The Substance certainly is. It's dark humor with absolutely insane visuals. If you've seen Society it's a little on that level.

And yes, there is indeed some awesome nudity. It's not really gratuitous though. The movie is about aging vs youth and society's expectations on beauty standards. So seeing naked bodies puts the point on it. (But nudity is still fun of course ;) )

Okay. This one is making the watch list. 🕶️

Thanks, Boo! :p

I mean, does a regulator really stay in one's during an underwater faint?

Beast With a Million Eyes (1955)

It is . . . quite moderate.

Monster From the Ocean Floor was better.

Why is it that in some old sci-fi's the powers that be immediately accept the monster/alien/whatever invasion, and others scoff and pooh-pooh like in current sci-fi? 🤔

That's probably the most intense thinking I'm likely to do today.
Because sometimes the writer wants to get right to their good story and others want to waste time with the poo-poo guy, probably because their story isn’t as good?
