I have watched several really bad movies today. Okay, at least had them on in the background.

It may be that my batteries have recharged enough to hit functional status tomorrow.

There have been one or two worthy of note.

Not good worthy of note, mind!

Hydra (2025). Possibly the most bizarre, nonsensical twist in a movie ever filmed. And so many loose ends! Like, where did the people who kept magically appearing come from? Or why the sirens kept going off!!!

I'm toying with rounding up the day with Aztec Rex (2007). Yes, you read that correctly.

It may be worth mentioning that neither movie rated better than 3.0 on IMDB.

Seriously.

It's possible I should find a better way to relax.

I've been so burnt out lately that my SAD is not encroaching.

(Though now that I type this I'm wondering if it might be affecting my burn out level. )

I need a movie list for August, @hotwords229_A.

I'm thinking I'll try your seasonal approach. Or, wait, should I go for dead of winter, to counteract?

Watching winter movies in the summer doesn’t work, it just makes everything seem off.

It Came From Beneath the Sea
High Anxiety

There’s some variety there and all acceptable summer movies.

I’ve also been wanting to watch Body Double, which I’ve never seen, but I heard it’s good. With nudity!

They are hitting five destinations in four European countries. In eleven days. Including travel time.

Plus, they are sort of wandering as they go. No accommodations booked in advance.

I mean -

Admittedly I did something similar when I was much younger. But even then, we had a friend living in Amsterdam, that we stayed with, and others that met us in London. These days . . . .

I really like nice hotels with spas.

Have I lost my adventurous spirit?

I should be doing actual productive stuff, but -

Potato peel followed by milk barrier reset followed by regenerative eye masks.

^^This stuff is ahmazing for after little mini peels!

Now I'm toying with the idea of a full body scrub followed by hyaluronic acid and a rich ceramide body creme, plus a little aromatherapy.

What I really want is some shiatsu, but, alas, there is none for at least at hour an a half away, possibly two.

It may not end up being a very productive day. . . .

Which I will feel terrible about later, but, I'm okay with for now.
