Endless Ends

I also like how they got Lon Chaney jr., the biggest, burliest guy in Hollywood to play an ancient Egyptian.

I think The Monster Squad is the only movie to ever get the size of the mummy right.
This picture shocks me. I mean, sense wise, in a historical context, of course the Mummy would be small.

But, here, he just looks like a scrawmpy little thing. How could he loom over you? Crush skulls with his bare hands?

Where is the terror? 😱

Apparently it's bop + speed that gives pause.
There’s a certain pace, probably different for everyone, that provides maximum bopping bounce. For me, it’s a speed walking pace. A rhythm develops and then a boob counterweight sort of competes with the main body rhythm. Sports bras can keep that under control, but I have had fancy, less restrictive bras that seemed to somehow add bonus bounce.

Interesting. It does seem to be pace linked for me as well.

Bras, too. Bras that are *pretty* instead of functional offer no genuine support when moving at other than a sedate walk. Also bras that are older and have become more stretchy. That's what led me to become an object of interest the other day. 😬

You know, oddly, I don't mind the bounce unless it attracts unwanted attention. It somehow adds to the upbeat feeling of the bop. 🤔

It may take me bopping around on a pogo stick or a space hopper to get the necessary level of bounce.
But not sure anyone's attention would be boob based then 🤔 😂
You know, I think it's less about the size and more about the dynamics. :p

I don't consider myself that chesty, but I definitely bounce with the bop.

I would actually like to see this. :p

So, the last couple of days I've been sorting through paperwork.

Often when I do that, I have the television on in the background, rather like white noise.

Somehow, I stumbled onto to this streaming channel called Candy Jar. It's entirely short episode series. Like, romance series. Erotic-ish. At least, lots of sexual tension and dancing around. Loooooooooots.

It's like one of the more steamy Harlequin romances, serialized.

Some of the stuff is paranormal. Even werewolves.

I think I'm addicted. 😳

The only problem is they only show like one twenty minute episode before rolling over to something else. 🤣

Or maybe prurient interest isn't the phrase.

It's pinging my libido. 🫣

Can't afford to let that stuff wake up. To counteract, I've put on The Thing (1982).

While I finish up some stuff this morning. :p

Okay. I watched an oddity tonight. The Bloodthirsty Bees (2021).

I was thinking Godzilla, @hotwords229_A. I don't know why, as it was Chinese. 🤣

Anyhoo, it was quite strange.

-It was the usual sci-fi, horror, little bit of comedy. Innocent scientists make killer bees that one baddie secretly pitches to the military. The Bees escape and terrorize a village, which then has to fight off the military.

-It's set in 1930s in Japanese-occupied China. The village inhabitants were dressed straight out of a medieval fantasy. The Japanese scientist and military are dressed closer to the 70's.

-It was dubbed. Very minimally. With no subtitling for the writing.

-There are a couple of comic reliefs that the chose to dub with way over-the-top goofy voices.

-There is a very abrupt ending. A death, and then . . . that's it. No roundup. 🤷‍♀️

-The size of bloodthirsty bees in not large, except for the queen bee, who is ENORMOUS and wanders around doing all sorts of not usual queen bee stuff.

- There is also a romance. Of a sort. The handsome young villager and the primary scientist's daughter. Super weirdly, the impediment is that the girl is half Japanese. Apparently there is a strong anti-Japanese sentiment that runs through Chinese movies. Who knew?

-The father/primary scientist tells the daughter at the end that her mother, was not, in fact, Japanese, but Chinese. Thus clearing the way for the young lovers. (It seems love alone would not be enough.)

-It is not explained why the girl was told her mother was Japanese.

The whole thing me feeling a little confused. 🤔

The scars from the brutality/murders/rape/forced “prostitution” during the Japanese occupation in WW2 run deep in China. It shows up in Chinese movies/tv quite a bit.
