Endless Ends

I can wear a tuxedo while painting and never get any on me. It’s just a gift some of us have. 😎

But why wear the T-shirt? Wouldn’t it be much better and more environmentally sound to paint in the nude? If you’re that bad at painting it will look like you’re wearing clothes soon enough anyway. 😛
I gotta admit, that’s the first image that popped into my mind was a naked paint splattered Enny.

Braggart.

I have considered this option. But - it feels weird walking around nude with a paintbrush.

Besides, there are some sensitive areas that paint is . . . trickier to remove. 😬

That is . . . not the sexy image one might think.

It gets in my hair, on my nose, my toes, and, on one memorable occasion, in my eyelashes. *sigh*

If painting walls (ie not artistic painting) I generally wear an old shirt, and old gym shorts and socks. If I step in a paint splatter with bare feet it tends to transfer everywhere.

So try that?

And maybe a face shield. :p

I think the mistake people make is covering the floors, taping the edges and wearing old clothes—you’re giving yourself permission to make a mess.

Freeball it! Wear regular clothes, no floor coverings, no taped areas and be amazed at how precise you are because you have to be.

You’re welcome.

Yeah, I can paint like that. I’m just a lot slower. Even counting the setup time.

I've tried that. It just means I step in the paint with my socks, don't realize, and then track it everywhere. 🙄

Or, I just know a mess is going to happen because I am . . . messy.

This is just the voice of insanity. How do you paint walls with a roller? It's impossible to prevent all spray. How? How?! 😳

You two. The Braggart Brothers. 🙄

You should have a heavy cloth paint tarp down. Then when you’re done, you take the socks off before stepping off the tarp.

He doesn’t. He lies he lies he lies. 🤣

I’m just mansplaining baby. Nothing bragging about that!

I tape the floor area by the wall with brown paper then put down a plastic tarp.

I still manage to get paint all over the floor.

I'm telling you, it's a gift. 🎁

That’s why painters use drop cloths. That’s what I was talking about, just blanked on the whole name. Brown paper and plastic doesn’t soak it up. Drop cloths absorb the paint.

Plus, no taping.

I use a 5x5 for small rooms and a 10x10 for large areas. Keep it bunched up a little so if you manage to do something really stupid like tip over a paint bucket it doesn’t immediately soak through to the floor. Not that I ever did that. Not at all. No way.

Summer is officially here.

Today was an outside work day. So suuuuuuuuny. And hot. If I could work outside nude, I would. It would be so much cooler. 😓

Well, outside nude if there weren't insects.

And people delivering packages. 😬

AND THE SUN

Yeah, okay, so outside nude is probably not practical on any level.

But think how happy the Mailman and UPS Guy would be.

You need to think about other people more! 🧐

Don't forget the 4 or 5 literotica fan drive-bys with binoculars !!

I am have one of those: People are so aggravating days.

1) I did touchup painting. Today I found the paint I used was not, in fact, the same color of the original paint. This, in spite of the fact that I took the old can of paint in, pointed to the formula, and said: I'd like another gallon of that, please.

😠

Naturally, I've spent today touching up the touchup. (Fortunately I found the original gallon and it had enough to get started.)

You know, it's partly my fault. I am aware from experience, that even though paint mixing is not rocket science, the people mixing are . . . prone to error. I should have checked the gallon after it was mixed.

Too, people just generally seem inept at their jobs, whatever the job.

So, partly my fault.

Doesn't stop me from being all kinds of miffed, though! 🤣
