Endless Ends

This is not exactly what I expected.

I mean, I probably should have, given the production date. It's one of those eco-disaster movies they made in the early seventies. It takes itself very seriously. Very.

It has been educational. I had no idea rabbits were an invasive and out-of-control species in Australia. Or that the midwest has had its own rabbit infestation issues. 🤔

As has the dialogue. At the drive in theatre:

"Everyone, keep calm. There's a herd of killer rabbits on the loose."

The movie goers accept this without batting an eye. 🤨

The special effects are . . . a smidge lacking. All the money must have gone building tiny sets. You know, so the rabbits could run around looking like giants. :p

Why does movie blood always look so fake? 🤔
If I remember right, it wasn’t until the late ‘70’s early ‘80’s when Dick Smith (famous makeup guy) finally cracked the correct looking formula for fake blood.

Also, sometimes movies use intentionally fake looking blood to get past the censors. Some movies use a blackish blood or bright red that looks more like paint so they get less trouble from the MPAA. 😁

Interesting.

I had to look up MPAA.

This was the brightest red blood ever seen on the planet. 🤣

Ah.. Poison Ivy.

I did my very best to avoid. And then scrubbed every inch of my body in a hot shower.

We. Shall. See. 😬

I feel for those poor souls that are highly allergic to poison ivy. I was as a child but by late teens it stopped bothering me.

I am not particularly allergic, but I have picked up a few spots on occasion. Of course, I do try to be careful.

I didn’t know poison ivy was an allergy, I thought it affected everyone.
Or do you mean it’s even worse if you’re allergic?

French food, Lush, Lululemon, cute little salt cellars, and an obscene amount of money on organic, sustainable, bedding.

I am tired.

And it's sort of raining.

So much for any kind of work today.

There are times when I wonder if I was born to slack. 🤷‍♀️

It's an allergen. That's why you can take Benadryl to alleviate the symptoms.
It's one of those sensitized allergens. No-one is born allergic, but once sensitized you're likely to react to some degree. The degree may go up and down, dependent on immunity and other things.

No little blisters have appeared, so I consider I've won this round. 😎
