Endless Ends

The February 2023 Full Snow Moon

The full Snow Moon will reach its peak on Feb. 5 at 1:30 p.m. EST. "The Moon will appear full for about 3 days around this time, from early Saturday morning through early Tuesday morning.

"Since this year's Snow Moon is in Leo, focus on creativity and passion. This can include writing a list of goals, starting a new hobby or putting plans into action . . . lighting your favorite candle, journaling and setting your intentions around living vibrantly and standing in your power , , ."

"With Leo’s energy governing the full Moon, we are encouraged to focus on the heart’s truth. Acknowledging this takes courage and vulnerability. It’s not always easy to listen to and follow our hearts. Our mind often has different plans and will try to convince us these plans are safer. The mind would like to trick us into thinking it is in control, but the heart is the one that leads us forward."

The February 2023 Full Snow Moon

< We are encouraged to focus on the heart’s truth. Acknowledging this takes courage and vulnerability. It’s not always easy to listen to and follow our hearts. Our mind often has different plans and will try to convince us these plans are safer. The mind would like to trick us into thinking it is in control, but the heart is the one that leads us forward.>

When younger, the mind's plans so often seemed the *right* course. These days, I find myself realizing the heart's truth may be the course to more happiness.

Oddly, too, for me at least, is that the heart's truth pathway seems to require far more courage to pursue.

Something I've been thinking about muchly as of late.

Thanks for posting this one, Investor. :rose:

It's coming tomorrow!
It's coming tomorrow!
It's coming tomorrow!
It's coming tomorrow!
It's coming tomorrow!
It's coming tomorrow!

I might be just the teensiest bit excited. :p

I've been a very good girl.

The last two days have been most industrious. Cleaning and sorting through tubs and tubs of kitchen accoutrements, not to mention pawing through sundry boxes stashed in closets and stacked in the hall.

Naturally I did all this while watching bad sci-fi.

(I mean, really, was there any other way? :p)

I watched hours. Hours.

Don't worry.

I won't list them all.

Buuuuut....

Here's a few of the top of my head. :D

-Mongolian Death Worm (2010) - about what you'd expect.

-Thirst (2015) - rather Tremors reminiscent. Minus the humor. And Kevin Bacon. And the giant subterranean worms. :p

-Blood Moon (2014) - not a fan of Westerns. Mix them with a little supernatural horror? *boom*

-Rage of the Mummy: Vengeance is Reborn (2018) - I...am not entirely sure what this was. A student movie? Shot on a whim? Someone (several someones) lost a bet? Idk, but there's gotta be a reason. 😂

What. A. Week.

*double thunk*

That stretched all the way through...this coming Tuesday. 😂

I have dulled my senses with a little low-grade sci-fi. (Seemed a better idea than hitting the drink. :p)

Let's see.

Bad Moon (1996) - eh, and it should have been good, in a B sci-fi kind of way. I like both primary actors. Utterly predictable and a truly terrible sex scene. Egad.

Dragon Fury (2021) - This is unquestionably one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Terrible camera work and the soldiers were...strangely portrayed. A soldier on crutches in combat? That don't follow orders? That sit around and talk about their feelings? Whilst on a mission while hunting an apex predator? Because...they just have that kind of time on their hands?

The dragon cgi wasn't bad. That's all I've got. 😂

And because the above were just too, too ghastly, I switch to vampires:

Red Snow (2021) - cute idea. Really off beat sort of heroine. I paused it (my focus hit it's limit ) but I'll finish up later. Pretty clear where things are going, but I'm rooting for the author.

I fear there may be a need to give the low brow sci-fi a rest.

This lot was just depressing.

Which is not what I am going for with questionable sci-fi. :p

Oh, dear.

I just stumbled across Dragon Fury: Wrath of Fire (2022). The sequel to the above mentioned Dragon Fury.

I...can't even. 😂

* * *

In other news, I'm putting in a tiny garden. Something with which I have zero experience. (Seriously, I'm a registered plant killer.)

If you know me and are willing to hand hold through overwrought anxiety and endless questions, please, feel free to PM.

Because babysitting is so appealing. :p

That’s fascinacting! I’m imagining a Ms. Marple type story in the White House.
Also, Blood & Honey is, I can honestly say, the first time in my life I‘ve ever had an interest in Winnie the Pooh.

I am still grappling with Mongolian Death Worms. Who asked themselves, "What would be a truly terrifying, lethal, exotic predator?" and came up with the answer, "A small, blind, subterranean hermaphrodite! From Ulaan Baatar!"

I'll be whipping out my 🔍 as soon as I track a couple of those bad boys down!

Piglet always seemed more attractive to me than Pooh. Until I read the Blood and Honey synopsis. 😳

Now see, what they don't mention is they are GIANT Mongolian death worms. 😎

Woken by an evil oil company pumping superheated water underground in their search for shale. *nods*

GIANT FRACKED Mongolian Death Worms! And now it suddenly all makes sense!

I need to watch this. Please tell me the special effects consist of a knitted Mongolian sock?

Sadly, no, but the CGI is quite moderate!

It also has a high body count, a side smuggling gig, doctors without borders, a bad corporation, a local crime lord, a local plague and...remarkably slow moving giant Mongolian Death worms.

Will that do? 😂

- It was a beautiful day!

- I'm still afraid of heights. 😳

- I waxed my string. 😎

*That last one is not a euphemism. :p

March’s full Worm Moon reaches peak illumination at 7:42 A.M. ET on Tuesday, March 7. Look for the spectacularly bright Moon as it rises above the horizon on Monday evening.

The March moon is positioned in the house of Virgo . . . This positioning allows one to seek clarity and order . . . Pay attention to where you feel called under this Full Moon. Do you feel guided to rest, release, or welcome new opportunities? Do you feel guided to go within and get still, or to put yourself and your creations out into the world? . . . so honor your needs and pay attention to what your mind, body, and soul are trying to share.

Virgo energy encourages us to turn to our inner wisdom, trust our intuition, and seek guidance and support from mother earth in the form of fresh air, sunshine, water, herbs, and nutrition.
