Endless Ends

I LOVE that she did the face!!!

(Still probably not gonna watch the movie, but…awesome! :p)

So, I'm curious. As I suspect are any other women who happened to drop by this thread. What, exactly, makes for *poor quality* boobs?

*waits*

:D

Very often, especially in 90’s and early 2000’s movies, when there is an excess of nudity there will be a lot of silicone on the screen. Fake boobies can ruin a good nude scene, but Frankenhooker only had real ones.

The quality, by the way, has nothing to do with size. It can be measured only internally (and sometimes externally ;)) and varies by the individual.

This individual saw a lot of boobs that led to internal and external . . . qualities? :D

Okay, so I think you got it. Freddy’s Revenge is considered one of the “gayest” horror movies ever made. >

Oh.

OH!

OMG. Now I feel completely stupid for not getting it! 😂

IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW

Okay. That spanking scene with the coach. That…I am still kinda shocked.

(Edited to add: I have never seen any of the Rocky movies, but now that you mention it, I have to agree about the 80s....)

That was a most excellent response! A+++

(And, to be honest, Muscles, I really had no idea how you were going to recover from what, on first perusal, seemed a most damning statement. :D)

That’s what I was curious about. To see if it was extremely obvious if you weren’t looking for it and I don’t think it is, but once pointed out it’s all right there.

Interesting.

That was a close call! :D

*nods*

This^ happened to me just the other day. I lost an arm. Left one messy, green puddle of goo.

I kid! I kid! :p

Daughters of Darkness (1971).

This was an interesting movie. It seems the Lesbian Vampire Thing is, actually, a thing. I…did not know this. Their heyday heyday seems to have been the 70s. A film era I do’t have much experience in, for some reason.

The visuals were fantastic. The women's fashion was superb. (The main dude, however. Those slippers! That shorty robe! 🤣 )

Delphine Seyrig, who play Countess Bathroy was magnificent. That way she prattled on, manipulating and evoking these horrific scenarios in the most innocently seeming way. Something to watch.

A couple of articles mention the director having a temper. He actually struck actress playing one half of the honeymoon couple during a disagreement, which angered her co-star so much that he punched the director! Maybe the violence from the movie spilled over. And there was violence, mostly sexual. Wiki mentions the sadomasochistic scene. An article called it BDSM!

Ummm, yeah, no. BDSM requires consent. That was…not consensual. 😳

A couple of criticisms.

-I didn’t understand the whole *mother* scenario. It is never explained (unless it’s one of those things I was supposed to catch and didn’t ) and there doesn’t seem to be, idk, any point?

-The end flagged for me a little. The pacing, the character interactions, the dressing of the setting, all had flowed right along unless that last little bit. I suppose they were going for a bit of a shock value, but it was all too rushed.

Interesting movie. Something a little different. Worth the watch if you like vampyres.

Or appealing cinematography.

Or lesbians. :p

What's not to like this week (if you are a night person) . . . the Full Hunter's Moon, the Orionids, the planet Uranus, and the Copernicus Crater :) -

https://www.whsv.com/2021/10/18/full-hunters-moon-this-week/

Wow. That's a gorgeous moon! :cattail:

I thought of you the other day. Someone sent me a picture of a night moon, ringed in clouds. The caption read something like, "Moon dressed as Jupiter".

It did, too! Look like Jupiter, I mean.

I tried to save it to post, but alas, it was an image from The Book of Faces. Their pics aren't linkable. Or something.

I did watch "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" this past weekend . . . it was somewhat interesting to see the zombies interspersed between P and P dialogue, and Elizabeth as a martial arts expert and Mr. Darcy as a zombie hunter . . . but still an awkward movie.

Is this a thumbs up or a thumbs down? I can't tell.

If I recall correctly, it sat midline with critics.

* * *

I had NO idea it was National Wolf Awareness Week. (Or even that such a week existed, which it most certainly should.)

What are we going to watch? I need a new werewolf movie. Not necessarily recently made, you understand, just new to me.

Something thrilling. Something with beautifi cinematography (or black and white :p).

Something recherché.

Something sexy…..

“Uranus in two finger-widths of the waning gibbous” sounds like a perverted sexual act. >

You have perverted sexual act radar. 😂

I find this whole description highly suspicious. I mean, Whose fingers?

Whose?

That gap looks like about 8 of my finger widths.

Freddy 2 is amazing. Pretty underrated. Scream, Queen is a really interesting documentary too.

It wasn't a bad movie, for sure. It was just…odd.

Or it was until Hotwords gave me the down low. Or is that low down? I can never remember. 😂

After that it made total sense!

This came my way today. Dalgliesh.

*squeals*

I loooooove PD James. I read several of these when I was quite young. (Raided the parental bookcase. :p) Not really appropriate for a tween, but wonderful books. A little more brutal than I usually care for when it comes to murder mysteries, but she draws such verbal pictures!

I do like intellectual writers who don't talk down to you and use a full vocabulary. They make me happy. :cattail:

Devices and Desires (1989 and The Skull Beneath the Skin (1982) are my favorites.

I am. Very excited.

I hope they're good.

November 1st!

(I might've peed myself a little. :p)

Choices, choices

It may be a tad difficult to meet all those parameters on one werewolf movie, expecially that last one. "Van Helsing" may come close, but it is not just a pure werewolf movie.

I searched for a few lesser know movies with werewolves . . .

A possibility is "Ginger Snaps" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaVuuiA0fO0 with a trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRXT1J0kqdY

Or "The Werewolf versus the Vampire Woman" - https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x24489o with a trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxZAm_wXvpg

Popcorn's ready . . . :)

Ginger Snaps I thought I'd seen, but when after viewing^ it appears what I've seen is Ginger Snaps: Back to the Beginning (2004). Not bad. Not what I had in mind sy yhr moment, but certainly worth watching at some point.

As far as The Werewolf versus the Vampire Woman goes….

That sounded so familiar, but I couldn't figure out why. Then it clicked!

Based on the title and trailer I can only assume The Werewolf and the Yeti is the greatest movie ever made.

Followed by this:

(So weird to quote oneself. :p)

Oh, joy. :cattail:

I dived into the antecedents of Werewolf and the Yeti (1975). Turns out there are 12 films in this series. Tweeeeelve. All with the same primary character, Count Waldemar Daninsky. It is of note that very few of the storylines and back stories are contiguous.

Not kidding.

Our Count becomes a werewolf in a variety of ways: werewolf bite, yeti bite, the bite of two vampiresses (?), and a gypsy curse combined with a bite from a wolf skull.

Again, not kidding.

He is also revived several times, and frequently, “Shot to death by a woman who loves him enough to end his torment.”

It’s a tough choice, but that last bit might just be my favorite part. :p

There are also, in no particular order, aliens, a Japanese sorcerer, a reality tv crew, Dr. Jekyll, a serial killer, and two - count ‘em, two - encounters with Elizabeth Bathory. That would be on top of the vampires, gypsies, and, of course, the yeti.

*gratified sigh*

I mean, what more could a girl want?

Hotwords, you are completely forgiven for Spookies. :D

Investor, you are a genius.

This is now my new mission in life. I will track all twelve of these beauties down before Halloween.

(Well, a couple more anyway. :p)

Viva la werewolf!

Huh. Or…viva le werewolf?

Is werewolf masculine or feminine in Spanish? Does it even matter with that particular phrase?

Ahem. Anyhow.

Werewolf.

Movies. :cattail:

In French, that would be "vive le loup-garou" and "vive la femelle loup-garou" :)

more melted butter and salt on that popcorn?
