Awesome.

By how heavy the tool is, you know how good it is.What is about men and old tools?
My SO just acquired a tool to remove tricky nails. It's pushing a hundred years old and is made of malleable iron and forged steel. It weighs at least five pounds.
You would think it was the holy grail.
Men.

That tracks.Also. The SO says it stresses him when I lose my temper.
How? How is that new information?I feel like this is new information.![]()
This was one of my favorite horror films when I was a kid. I've liked both of them ever since.
I . . . am not sure.How? How is that new information?
I bought a throw pillow with this pose of Jeff Goldblum for a white elephant gift. People actually fought over it. It was hilarious.
The originals from the late 50s were lovely as well. This was one of my favorite horror films when I was a kid. I've liked both of them ever since.
Look at you throwing out the pop culture knowledge!I ... don't think so?

It’s the feel, the design, the history. Finding a rusty old tool that still has purpose or can be restored is like pulling the sword out of the stone. What is about men and old tools?

My words exactly. How? How is that new information?
Ah. I see. It’s the feel, the design, the history. Finding a rusty old tool that still has purpose or can be restored is like pulling the sword out of the stone.
A new generation of handcrafted knowledge and experience being handed over.
Think Frank Frazetta but with a wrench instead of a sword.
So much better than a cheap piece of Chinese garbage at the big box store.
It just is!!!
My words exactly.![]()
A stoic response doesn’t equal an apathetic one.It just is!!!![]()
So what you're really saying is that I'm a monster.Stoicism doesn’t equal apathy.![]()
Don't stifle the rage. It will explode someday. I think of myself like a pressure cooker. The steam needs a slow release or I'll end up in jail.So what you're really saying is that I'm a monster.
Okay. That is probably true.
Eesh.![]()
I’m definitely not saying that. Maybe a sexy Mummy woman monster, but that’s an entirely different conversation. And image. A hot, sexy image. So what you're really saying is that I'm a monster.
Okay. That is probably true.
Eesh.![]()
This is . . . entirely true.Don't stifle the rage. It will explode someday. I think of myself like a pressure cooker. The steam needs a slow release or I'll end up in jail.![]()

But that time isn’t when the rage hits. It’s a little later on, is it not? This is . . . entirely true.
Besides. It is not like he couldn't have mentioned it before. I mean, it's difficult to work through things if there is no communication.
Speaking to all men everywhere.![]()
It sucks when communication goes one way. How many times do I have to say "Please stop putting your shoes in front of the closet door?" Then he's all shocked when I throw the offending shoes in the trash in a fit of rage, like this information is new to him. This is . . . entirely true.

I have a deep love for vintage and restored objects, but also a very wide practical streak. It’s the feel, the design, the history. Finding a rusty old tool that still has purpose or can be restored is like pulling the sword out of the stone.

Has he met you? Also. The SO says it stresses him when I lose my temper.

Ok, this I get.I . . . am not sure.
I guess it was unclear to me how much it impacted him? Or that it impacted him - aside from in the moment - at all.![]()
There's the Muscles I know and love.I’m definitely not saying that. Maybe a sexy Mummy woman monster, but that’s an entirely different conversation. And image. A hot, sexy image.
What were we talking about? Oh yeah,

Actually, I'd rather not, if that's okay. What you said was super valid.I was also hoping you’d quote my rewrite post not the original. It seemed more what I actually meant.

100%I have a deep love for vintage and restored objects, but also a very wide practical streak.
So while I do love my old, restored planer…I used an electric one when installing a whole wall of pantries. And when I needed a tool to excise stubborn screws, I went to my local hardware store![]()
Hmm. Often lack of communication may ping my temper. But that time isn’t when the rage hits. It’s a little later on, is it not?
