Endless Curiosity

My question bank is running low, please feel free to send suggestions.

In the meantime, what are you most looking forward to as the cooler weather sets in? What are you dreading?

Fall because of the clothes!

Not looking forward to non stop rain.

I look forward to football, the holidays and all the cool stuff attached.
I am dreading the drivers who have no idea how to drive with precipitation.
What have you ever sacrificed for the sake of a loved one?????

This goes deep.
I sacrificed my relationship with my own family to be with my wife. I traveled 3000 miles one way to reunite with her after sending her up here. I miss out on all my family stuff on the East Coast because my family is now up here with me. I miss em terribly, but I also know sometimes you have to leave the nest to fly.

I apologize for dropping the ball yesterday. I was deep in the woods with little or no connectivity.

"It wasn't me." I remember the Family Circus comic strips that would feature that invisible mischief maker. I work with several people who automatically recite that phrase when a problem arises, like a bunch of children calling "not it". It frustrates me more than I can say.

How do you deal with adults who insist they are innocent before they know what the issue is? The ones who will swear to the end they aren't at fault even when caught red handed? And how, for the love of cheese and crackers, have they made it to adulthood without ever having to take responsibility for their actions?!?

I ignore them.

Confront them and call bull shit, for the love of cheese and crackers

If it's in my personal life I tend to drop an acerbic comment and walk away. If it's a business matter and it's important (as opposed most stuff, which is bullshit ) I sit down with them and say.. Ok, let's figure out where things went south so it doesn't happen again. Two or three questions in they are usually left peddling furiously with no constructive answers. At which point I will drop an acerbic comment and walk away :p

Listen up, people. Until you start filling my PM box with suggestions, you'll have to deal with the weak a** questions I come up with. Today's question is an example of why you shouldn't leave me to my own devices.

Do you have a crush? I'm not talking about celebrities or fellow Litsters, I'm talking a real life crush. I realize we're adults here, but is there someone at work, or church, or among your circle of friends that you find particularly attractive ... attractive enough to cause a sigh or perhaps a wayward thought?

If so, why haven't you acted on it?

Lit crushes galore, but in real life my only crush is my wife of 40 years. I know I am a dinosaur.

You should let me come up with questions. I am very deep and fun.

To answer the question no. I am in a committed relationship.

Ditto, another dinosaur here.

Well, maybe not Lit crushes "galore", but a good-sized handful. As I keep my Lit friends out of my real life (for my own protection), my only RL crush is my wife.

We should start a dinosaur thread lol.

Sorry VT. Didn't mean to steal your topic

yes.. he'd be perfect if I weren't literally old enough to be his mother.

Very nice guy, totally my type, but I just can't do the cougar thing.

Another Dinosaur here, wife of over 30 years. I will admit to straying thoughts and glances, but frankly it is the reason i enjoy lit.

I always have crushes!! The guy at the farmer's market, my water delivery guy, my neighbour, etc etc. I won't act on them, though, because I value being comfortable and flirty around them more than I actually want anything to happen with them. Crushes are fun, I like the way they make me feel when I am around that person, and I don't want that to change :)

I have two crushes at work. One is very happily married and the other is involved. Even if I were free to act on my crushes, their relationships would prevent me from doing so.

If all parties involved were single? Eh, I probably still wouldn't act on it. As Collar mentioned, I like the easy, flirty dynamic we have now. I wouldn't want to risk that. I also think fishing in the company pond is a bad idea all around.

It nearly always leads to trouble, have you ever escalated to a snog at the work xmas party

Haha, I know I told this story somewhere here back when it happened but . . . A buddy and I were at a neighborhood bar and got chatty with the pretty young bartender. The conversation got a little flirty and fun with references to coming back to one of our houses for something or other and stuff like that (like that'd ever happen ). Anyway, then after another few lines of talk, we realized that she was a HS friend of my son's and she used to hang out at my house only about 10 years ago. Thereafter I was Mr. AF as far as she was concerned. . . sheesh

I don't really crush on anyone in RL. I'll see or meet a cute young thing somewhere and just smile to myself and think, 'Wow, she's pretty'. So yeah, a sigh or perhaps a wayward thought, but that's as far as it goes.

After my first wife and I divorced, I began to spend some time with a co-worker, just drinks after work where we could let off some steam about conditions at the office. We had known each other for several years and had worked together on several projects. Over the next two years, things developed between us. She switched assignments and began working in a different department. And then we got married. 20+ years later we are still very happily married.

So sometimes office romances do work. But I consider ours a special case, as office romances often go bad.

Cool, Yay for it was meant to be :)

If you could choose only oral or penetration for 5 years, what would you choose? And why?

Wow. WTH kind of a question is that?

Probably oral. They make toys to simulate penetration but tongues are special.
