They clearly know that I'm a woman (my mentality, the fact that I posted Twice "evidence" -within the parameters of decency, of course- with names and dates on them) .

I suspect that their behavior is driven by the fact that I'm more opiniated and I openly disagreed with certain things + the fact that I'm a non-english speaking poster.

This makes more sense to me, at least as far as Jennifer is concerned. Because, she managed to drive Elle -Gianbattista- (another non-english speaking immigrant to a Commonwealth country) off the board. Even if, in contrast to my case, Elle was respected and liked by Jennifer's friends.

Your interest in maintaining "decency" seems at odds with your reposting of those images -- which I never saw to begin with, since like most normal people here I have busybody on Ignore.

Speaking of which, the typical remedy for being trolled is to use Ignore. Give it a shot! Has to work better than starting threads complaining about your ill treatment.

This thread has me experiencing a great deal of feels this morning, and I'm taking them out on sections of sweet, juicy figs wrapped snuggly in paper-thin slices of prosciutto, and strong coffee.

Out of interest, do you ever post anything without this kind of 'on the other hand' schtick? Racism, Islam, abortion - do you hold no strong opinions on anything other than Emerson? Is it all dull balance and grey areas?

Try that math again. Looking at his last two pages of posts, it is easy to see he posts on multiple forums and, from this recent history, nowhere near half his posts are directed at you. Have you yet to realize that you call this attention to yourself and then whine for it to stop? You enjoy this, that much is easy to see.

You both raise excellent points, but have neglected to factor in the "Hashtag Whoosh" when considering your questions. This is hashtag we're talking about after all, and one must keep this in mind when asking him to apply even the most basic logic or figure out simple math equations. Doubly so, if it detracts from potential drama and attention.

In reality, I am a 32 year-old professional male. I am in a relationship and I live with my partner. Up to now, I practiced the 'demure' style and the flirting with a few males on this site for a bit of fun.

If you guys/girls are distrustful of these things, please think of me as being androginous or asexual.
Since I am obviously not looking for romantic relationships or sex here - I am just looking for some human connection or friendship during a time that's been a bit stressful for me -- I am not hurting anyone.

I am starting to think that certain people who keep harassing me and insulting me of being a guy actually know that I am a woman, or that they wouldn't care either way. But that they are still doing it because they don't like me or some of the things that I said (I can be v. blunt), and that they are trying to make me quit posting on this site.
Which is a shame from my point of view, since I met so many nice posters & this site helped me enormously.

I made it clear that I wasn't making any "pass" at him (see the rest of the thread and the fact that he didn't take it that way either). But that I was impressed by his kindness and wisdom, despite his very young age.

2.And the post towards InWord is a classic tongue-in cheeck one to get rid of a persistent troll. Try growing a brain.

Until more of your or his progressive friends started applauding his sleezy posts and encouraging these sorts of behaviors. And hell, he's infectious: did you see the pics. of penises in various stages of arousal that St. Peter posted -addressed- to me? (St. Peter being a poster with whom I barely interacted before and whom I always treated with respect, up till he caught the bug).

The dumb and sleezy seems to be contagious and is spreading in certain circles at the moment, so being proactive instead of being avoidant works at this moment.

I made it clear in several posts too, that imo Rob is the worst offender on this Board, worse than your long-term friend E. Those attacks on posters' family members (AJ's teenage daughter, Ishmail's dead son) were the most vile that I ever saw on the Board. And I was told that they've been going on for 10 years !!

This wasn't a smart move on your part because: do you think that it speaks well for the GB that, apart from Brooke on one occasion (we had a bit of history but I started to respect her after that) almost no bystander dared to challenge Rob, and to set limits on him re those types of posts ?
