Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
Click on the icon of the mountain with the sun and past the url above without the url tags into the dialog box. Then click ok
go to your user CP.. it's int there somewhere under options, i believe. You have settings to show/hide images/avatarsFor some odd reason I have not quite figured out, when you are browsing the forums but are NOT logged in to the forums, the pictures themselves appear in the posts- you can scroll down and see the pictures without ever seeing the hyperlinks.
But once you log in, the pictures go away and all you can see is the LINK to the pictures.
I don't know why this is. It's pretty stupid, actually. You'd think it would be the other way around.
It's the same way with user avatar pics- you can only see them if you are not actually logged in- then once you log in all the avatar pics dissappear too.
Didn't work for me either.http://sd.keepcalm-o-matic.co.uk/i/fuck-off-and-die-38.png[/IMG
I keep on getting it wrong. Something up with your directions maybe?![]()

What do you mean by the "mountain icon?"
I don't see anything like that
Thank you so much. This is far better!I know this isn't the "how to" board but I think a good many posters need to learn this:
If there's a picture you want to post from the internet follow these steps to make it automatically display in the thread you are posting.
1. Go to the image address in your browser
2. Copy the web address (ctrl c-windoze command c-smackintosh)
3. Hit the little icon in the posting screen that looks like a mountain with the sun
4. Paste the image address (ctrl v-wondoze command v-smackentosh)
5. Hit OK
6. submit reply.
alternatively copy the address into the posting window, highlight the whole thing and then hit the mountain icon
totally old school type http://paste or type web address then type
This way, no one has to follow a link, they can just see the image you want to add because
this sucks:

You still have to be careful. MANY of the images you've posted since this one violate board rules and are subject to removal.Thank you so much. This is far better!

Yep, I've got a Mac!! Lots of stuff doesn't work on the good computers! Not simple. The steps do not work with the Mac. Steps are as clear as mud . . .![]()
This thread was created on a Mac and I've posted tons of images from different Macs over the years. Not simple. The steps do not work with the Mac. Steps are as clear as mud . . .![]()
Well, the directions your provide are not working here . . . .This thread was created on a Mac and I've posted tons of images from different Macs over the years.
The Forum software changed things a little. Try this. Find a .jpeg on a website. copy the address. Hit the sun and mountain icon (between the link and Smily faces)and when it comes up then hit the link icon (looks like to chain links on the diagonal) which will bring up a blank spot to insert the URL that you copied from the photo. Then hit the INSERT button at the bottom of the popup.Well, the directions your provide are not working here . . . .
Has anyone told you that the pic is displaying. I think I've had the experience of a pic not displaying simply because it takes so long I give up.I must be doing something wrong too as the pic won't display:

I dunno. It popped up today so someone before me did the bumping. But thanks for the info. Why did you bump a TEN YEAR old thread with instructions about the old forum software that no longer apply?
