Direct posting is possible, and pretty quick (once you know the process).
There are certain limits/parameters. (including subject matter restrictions, which are a bit more "forgiving" than those for photography)

File size and file dimension:
600pixels MAX height and 800 pixels MAX Width...can be smaller in either or both directions.

Maximum file size is 100.0 KB Typically by saving "optimized for WEB" will make file smaller.

.bmp .gif .jpe .jpeg .jpg and .png all supported. (I typically use .jpg, unless I am creating an animated image, then .gig or a "floating" one, then .png)

Prepare your image on your computer first. I use Photoshop.

Start your post.
Scroll down below text box on your post to:
Manage Attachments button.
attachment.php

DETAIL:

attachment.php

Then you should get pop up to select your image from your computer.
Upload
close

attachment.php

If you want to SEE you image in your post, you click on the current attachment to get the url and copy that, and paste between and with no spaces. Otherwise it will be clickable file name text. (some folk are hesitant to click on stuff)

attachment.php

*******************************

IF You have posted “up front”
In the Erotic Art Hub (the size limitations seem to be less strict, but not obviously stated. I use the bulletin board guidelines anyway, they are adequate and work)

Then you can go to your image there, click on it and use the URL from that in a post. Get the url and copy that, and paste between
and
with no spaces.

Or you can use the “insert image” button , above the text entry box of your post. It is a rectangle with a mountain and black sun. You click on that, and past the url in the pop-up field and hit “OK”. — the and will be automatically generated, and the image that you have linked will be seen when you submit the post.

THIS POST AS AN EXAMPLE:

attachment.php

NOTE:
You are limited to 5 images per post when you upload them to LitErotica this way.
You can do more if the images are hosted elsewhere. (five is general enough)

duh!

OK . I see what I was doing wrong. I use the quick reply button at the end of post. Actually is't the "post reply" on the upper left of the forum page. not the reply to thread.
Thanks Throbbs.

Good deal! Too often it's something that we've just glossed over.
Now you're rolling!

Nice one, doesn't really work in my case due to the file size and resolution limits, but thanks for the tutorial I'm sure will help others!

If you have photoshop or GIMP you can easily change the size. In photoshop its under the image tab and image size then when you save AS jpg it give you the choice of quality also size of file just adjust it down to 100k and save it. GIMP works similarly but I dont have it up at the moment to look.

Well yeah.. but I do render at 4k first of all which that makes me a bit "meh" about the resize because I prefer the quality over the size, indeed you can compress a pic a lot with different software or convert to *.webp for the best size and no quality loss but what's the point then, this it's just my case anyway.

Still, I already tried to post my works at a lower resolution and offer a link to the original one.

Thanks!
