Everyone has at least one movie that they love that they don't really want to admit that they love. Old movies, bad movies, kids movie... something, right?

I thought of this while watching "Chicken Run" with my daughter, I LOVE that movie. Cracks me up every time. Pathetic, right?

OK, I fessed up, who will join me?

CD :rose:

Yes to all of movies previously stated - and Shrek 2 is wonderful!

Add - Monsters, Inc.!

('cause we're watching the outtakes right now with our kids!)

And for me -

add almost any movie by Kevin Kline or Steve Martin -

No one that I know will admit they enjoyed this movie – even people who have seen it.

But I must admit that I laugh every time I see Oscar.”

Yes, the Sylvester Stallone comedy.

VB, I cannot bear Stallone, not one hooded eyelid or syllable. I have not seen a "Rocky" movie.

Gawd, what's up with you?!

Perdita

I've seen Guess Who's Coming to Dinner eleventy-million times.

"The Gods Must Be Crazy" is one of my favorites........absolutely stupid, but so damn funny!

Aw, Tony, that's endearing. I can't stand the girl but I love all the scenes with Hepburn and Tracy. P.

Ms Perdita,

I saw "Oscar " with a died in the wool (dead in the head) Stallone fan.
HE hated "Oscar." I nearly peed myself, laughing.

Have you actually SEEN "Oscar"-- it's not a 'Rocky' nor a 'Rambo' movie?

If you haven't, "Gawd, what's up with you?!"

I enjoyed "Chicken Run" and laughed a lot when I watched it. I like just about any movie featuring Godzilla or one of his cohorts. That's the Japanese made movie. I didn't care for the remake of a few years ago. Maybe he wasn't hokey enough.

I like anything that includes Katherine Hepburn, especially with Spencer Tracy, but that is nothing to be embarassed about.

The Three Stooges, especially when it includes Curly.

Any Laurel and Hardy movie except "Babes in Toyland".

I liked "It's a Mad, etc. World."

:) I'm not embarassed about it but some people might be. I'm old enough that I don't have to worry about being mature.:)

Adam Sandler movies. I try to avoid seeing them because I laugh every time, dammit.

Many, many musicals...most recently Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, with Howard Keel and Jane Powell (1954 MGM).

I got a lot of them, most of them cheap b-movies or really stupid action movies like
- Vertical Limit
- The Glimmer Man
- American Ninja
- All of the Bud Spencer & Terence Hill movies
- talking about Adam Sandler: Happy Gilmore

There are a lot more.

Now you didn't hear this from me!

When I was a mere puppy, I went to see Carry on Regardless. I split my sides laughing. Now that I'm a little older, maybe you'd expect that my sense of humour would have matured along with the rest of me.

Well maybe you would, but I still laugh at the same 'rubbish' as defined by my wife. I accept that the Carry on films are not the height of satire, or the thinking man's entertainment, but they make me laugh. So there, I've said it!

Favourite film - The Life of Brian - God bless the wonderful George Harrison who made that film possible.

Favourite scene - Analyze That - The catatonic scene with Billy Crystal and Robert De Nero. I swear that if I'd been required on set during that scene, they'd never have finished it. De Nero is an absolute genius!

Chicken Run kicks ass. Nothing at all to be ashamed of.

I have no idea what the titles are, but I kind of like a whole bunch of old action b-rolls that they send on TV now and then. You know the kind, with Stephen Segall, Dolph Lundgren or JC Van Damme saving some wildlife reserve from evil industry magnates, or something like that, together with some hot local chick. I know they suck, but I kind of like the fluff entertainment value.

Now that's a tad bit embarrassing.
