I watched "To Have and Have Not" the other day, the movie that launched Lauren Bacall's career. She and Humphrey Bogart get my vote as the most sexually charged screen couple. But you may have very different ideas. Vote now!

GWTW was always a fave for me...
even though the movie bastardised the book so badly i nearly felt physically ill.
yes, im a GWTW freak. read it over a dozen times...is that really bad?
yeah ok
nevermind.

I "other" voted 'cause I used to be fascinated with Bruce Willis & Cybill Sheppard in that show "Moonlighting" -- before they fucked. Once they did the deed, so to speak, the magic dissipated.

The director was going for realism, imp.

Talking of TV shows, I should have added Barney and Betty Rubble. They always seemed like they were more sexually adventurous and active than the Flintsones. I wonder what stone-age condoms were like? Anybody?

What about Tom & Jerry?
Pinky & the Brain?
Homer and Marge Simpson?
Tucker Carlson and Paul Bagala?

:D

Actually, I'm a big fan of Audrey Hepburn and . . . well, just about anybody. That was a classic beauty!

Tom and Jerry were the architypal D/s couple. My wife and I sometimes like to role-play them. Which is why my face is the shape of an iron. Sometimes we get a friend in to dress up as Mammy.

You're a sick man, Joe. :D

Oh. I voted for Tracy and Hepburn. Mostly because I've always had it bad for Kathryn.

Who plays the dog that inevitably helps out Jerry? Now that's just kinky . . .

Yes, she was class. In RL Spencer was crazy in love with her but wouldn't cheat on his wife. Forget "Bad Day At Black Rock", that was a real hero.

Malkovich as the Vicomte de Valmonte and Pfeiffer as Madame de Tourvel. Ah, they are wonderful.

There is more truth to this than one might guess. I can quite seriously trace my own sexual awakening and my first glimpse of a very deeply rooted fetish to a specific Tom and Jerry cartoon. It's really quite amazing what they'll put in a children's cartoon.

I think we've had a thread on this before. Remember in "Wayne's World", when Garth admits to finding Bugs Bunny attractive when he dressed up as a woman? I've actually met more than one guy who's owned up to the same thing.

I'm really interested (if it's not too embarrassing) to know which Tom and Jerry cartoon started you on the slippery slope (mainly because I'm a bit of an cartoon and comic book Anorak)

Mighty Mouse's girlfriend and the giant cat had incredible chemistry. We'll never know what they might have achieved as a couple, because the crotchless singing mouse wouldn't leave them alone.

The wonderful thing about being a horse is that one is quite hard to embarass. In addition, should one actually become embarassed, the blush is very difficult to detect.

I'll be happy to identify the cartoon in question, if only for the amusement value of having us all gawp at what does actually make its way to television - and in a children's cartoon, no less.

In the cartoon, Tom is left to tend house while the humans are away. The plot surrounding the "key scene" is a bit hazy in my mind, but essentially involves a group of other cats who want to get into the house and tear about. The scene that still amazes me, really, is the one in which they do get in, capture Tom, and proceed to humiliate him by treating him as a baby, including powdering his backside, putting him in a pair of rubber pants, and then dropping a live goldfish down his crotch. We then get a close shot of the goldfish twitching and moving inside the rubber pants.

I've never really been able to do anything but laugh at people who fetishize baby play or clothing - it just looks ridiculous to me. However, the element of public and semi-sexual humiliation inherent in the scene struck a much deeper chord. I was too young at the time even to understand, let alone ponder the ramifications of, the fact that I experienced my first (and completely hands-free) orgasm watching the cartoon. I've never been able to decide if the orgasm was incidental and in that moment forged the connection with humiliation, or if the urge was already there, and it was seeing it enacted that stirred the orgasm. And probably never will know.

Ryan Phillipe and Sarah Michelle Gellar didn't do a bad job in Cruel Intentions. The only decent film Gellar's ever done. Wouldn't say they were the hottest on-screen duo, but Shanglan just reminded me of that film.

Okay, you'll laugh but I remember Lois Lane and Superman in the old television serial. She was always tied up and Soops would burst in and untie her and then give her the most Dommish, condescending smile. You could tell she wanted it and he was just playing with her. George Reeves was able to bring just the right amount of amused condescension to his role, kind of like Sean Connery as James Bond.

Then there was the whole Flash Gordan/Dale Arden/ Ming the Merciless/Princess Azura thing. Very BDSM and, with Ming and Princess Azura, even hinting at the incestuous.

Well, what can I say? Give me anything where some girl's tied to a chair. How about Charley's Angels with Charley as a voyeuristic Dom? There must have been some reason those girls were so enthralled with him.

Good one! Got that DVD for Christmas this year (along with Bull Durham -- another example of great onscreen chemistry, and not between the actors who ended up married in RL).

The thread asked for the hotest screen couple. for me, nobody exceeds Bogey and Bacall.

Lauren Bacall as an 18 year old girl was probably the hotest thing to hit the screen.

The chemistry was almost too much for the camera. There have been several (maybe all) of the Bogey/Bacall movies on TCM the last couple of days. Key Largo - To Have and Have Not - The Big Sleep - Dark Passage; all wonderful.

Those were the days when sex was in a person's eyes, in the slant of her head. Bacall dripped sex.
