Here in Texas, early voting opened on Monday. 599 of 600 voting locations opened on time, and voting was heavy throughout the first day.

The one location that did not open that day had a unique malfunction, both the main software and the backup software failed for some unexplained reason, and election officials were forced to cancel voting at that location for the entire day.
They brought in a completely new system overnight and voting resumed Tuesday.

Want to hear a coincidence? This early voting location was situated in a suburb of Fort Worth, Texas, noteworthy because of the fact that it had the largest population percentage of "outed" homosexuals in the state of Texas. The voting location was a Unitarian Universalist church that married a very large number of same-sex couples each year.

multiple voters in Texas, Florida and Tennessee complained about problems with the voting machines: in every instance they were trying to vote for a democrat but the screen kept highlighting the republican candidate. The machines were defaulting to the republican over the democrat, and not just once. Voters were complaining that it was happening 3 times before accepting the choice and highlighting the democrat's name.

In Tennessee, Dolly Parton's sister was just one of those who had problems trying to vote for Greene but the machine kept defaulting to marsha hunt. Election officials are saying they've only had a couple of reports of problems, but the news media received dozens. The officials in question say "it's almost always down to user error (fat fingers) and a wrong ballot can be 'spoiled' by the people staffing and a new one issued to be filled in correctly, IF people notice." Exactly, and if they don't notice, their vote goes to the wrong candidate.

Elon Musk’s DOGE agency began cutting staff at the Cybersecurity and Industrial Security Agency (CISA) in the early months of the second Trump regime, the DHS asked its sub-agency to carry out a secret mission: hack into a voting machine.

That’s according to Propublica, which reported CISA staff were told not to report any issues they found in the machine to its manufacturer. That is not how things work inside CISA, the government’s primary cyber agency, whose mission is to ensure such systems are secure by disclosing vulnerabilities responsibly.

“My thought was they could keep it in their back pocket to invalidate any [election] results they don’t like,” one former official told ProPublica. “This goes against everything CISA represents.”
