No plans other than dinner at my brother's place. Some of his wife's family will be there and it'll be nice. I'm just glad to get a three-day weekend!

I still haven't taken any nudes, but I hope this little picture helps tide you over until I get around to shooting the naked stuff. Maybe three of me will suffice for the time being. (I was a little bored and wanted to give this a try.)

Btw I got a Canon EOS 20D 8.2 Megapixel SLR Digital Camera w/ 1.8" LCD & EF-S 18-55mm Lens
Well Actually I got a picture of it I dont actually have it yet it is being shipped.

Its a bit of an upgrade from my Sony I think . It is a Gift so I didnt do the actual shopping around. Anyway new cameras are always fun . I think I will be able to get better Closeups than with the Sony.

Congratulations! The 20D is a very, very good camera. I've heard it's one of Canon's best and I'm sure you'll get some great stuff with it.

I used Photoshop CS for this image. I've seen it done and wanted to try it myself, and it was easier than I thought it would be.

I took three shots with the camera rigidly mounted on a tripod and set to manual exposure so everything would be exactly the same for the three shots. Then I set the self timer and changed clothes in between exposures. The first was me sitting at the near end of the couch, then I set a jacket on a tripod in that spot so I would have realistic shadows across the sofa for the other two images and also give myself a reference point to look at as if I were listening to the first guy talking.

Once I had all three in the camera, I just imported to Photoshop and dragged the second and third files onto the first as layers, then used layer masks to paint away parts of the image that were blocking what I needed to see. It's actually harder to explain than it is to do.

My folks are so in love with this shot that they want a print for their wall.

Cool I got some good tips from your shoot! Sounds like you had a good time setting it up and you for sure have an eye for composition! I would have never thought of the shadows set up.

I am sure your folks do love it... and its good enough to be framed and hung.


I need to spend more time setting up shots and less time digitally enhancing


Now I am reallly ready to play with my new Cam and it isnt here yet! Last Email it has been moved from the warehouse to the shipping zone .

I also bought some new gear this weekend. I ordered a new lens and it should be here before the weekend. It's going to be a great lens for wildlife and my folks say that there may be a bald eagle living in the Ocala area by one of my cousins' houses, so maybe I'll get to use it for that.

The set up on the "three Phils" was pretty quick. It was mostly digital trickery. Still, a lot of fun to do and see the results. I hope you try it when you get your new camera. I'd love to see five or six of you in a scene!
