Anyone remember this Obama era whistleblower?

He says her will return to United States on one condition - He wants a fair trial. There are some other things he wants with along with his condition, but they aren’t as important as that. He’s probably scared of how the Democrats will treat him or something. I wouldn’t know what would make him think anything like that

Anyway, he’s probably overstated his welcome in Russia. As far as I’m concerned, he can keep his ass in Russia.

Okay, I’m not a lawyer so I had to look up the difference between commutation and pardon for clarity, an oversight on my part.

Snowden is a hero and it's a tragedy everybody collectively shrugged when they realised their entire digital life was searchable by their government.

Honestly, if I were him the promise of a fair trial wouldn't even be enough to bring me back, since when has the US government ever kept a promise that they didn't have a vested interest in keeping?

Nobody in government wants to give him a fair trial. They want to make an example of him, lock him in solitary confinement for the rest of his life and then use him in recruit orientation to show what happens to those who commit espionage.

All ideological traitors think they are serving a "greater good" when they commit their acts; that is not a legal defense, nor should it be.

He commuted Bradley's sentence

Jonathan Pollard spent far more time in jail and did no real harm

I think Pollard should have stayed in jail, but of the two Manning was the one who caused damage
