At the bottom of the Editors Program profile creation page is this statement:

It is against the rules to use this service to advertise services or products. Doing so is grounds for removal from the site.

Is my username going to be considered an advertisement for services?
I am an editor, and I am for hire, but this is all volunteer work, and I don't want to get banned before I even get started.

What does it mean "volunteer work for hire"? Do you want to be paid (for hire), or you doing it for free (volunteer)?

Well, the editing here is volunteer, so any editing I would do for authors here would be volunteer.

However, I've segregated my editing work from other work I do with a username and email address that make it clear I'm available for paid work. In most spaces that's not a big deal, but the (completely reasonable) rules of the Volunteer Editor Program could interpret my username as advertising a service, and I'd rather not get banned.

muh man, why not create another profile, say BigDaddy69, and offer your free editing? then there's no need to ask awkward questions.

Agreed. With only 3 posts and 1 month time invested, a new screenname would be trivial to do.

Or, particularly with no stories (some strange things happen if there are stories), a friendly request to screen name Laurel (sitemeister) you can get your screenname changed.
