I was talking about the singing, actually. ;)

I really am that transparent, aren't I?

Just to those who know and love you, Rob.

McK's comment about westerns on TIB reminded me that Silverado is on DVD now and I watched it recently...

a very fun western. not overly serious, just fun...

Tombstone & Unforgiven are also great rents...or purchases.

We picked up "Blazing Saddles" in the cheapy bin at the local WalMart. It's long been a favorite, but has come at the cost of having the SO wander the house singing snatches of "I'm Tired" for the last week, thereby planting it immovably in my brain. I'll be working away in my office when I hear a shuffle past in the hall and a mumbled "everything below the waist is kaput!"

Ahh, Lily von Schtup. Classic.

And Clevan Little - "Hey - where da white wimmen at?" before he and Gene Wilder beat up the KKK boys.

That was nice, too.

I thought you would object to the title of that movie just based on your equine principles. :D

"Where the white women at?"

Sorry, had to say it.

Uh uh. History of the World, Part I :D

As for rentals -- I was quite disappointed in my last two: Eyes Wide Shut and The Vagina Monologues

Via netflix, I just watched the Battlestar Galactica miniseries, American Gothic and Armour de Femme. Liked the Battlestar DVDs. 'Nuff said.

Should I be scared that we thought of the same line at the same time?

Amen. Everyone in our family loves "'Scuse me while I whip this out ..." That, and - because we're Irish and half-Irish - the line of racial epithets describing who will be accepted by the folk of Rock Ridge, "but we ain't takin' the Irish!"

:D

How about - "What'll that asshole think up next? Somebody's gotta go back and get a shitload of dimes!"

good to hear, was considering buying them...have seen a couple of episodes and liked what I saw...

Belegon, thank you for reminding me of "Silverado" Great movie, and I want to see it again!
"Calvin Stanhope. But my mother used to call me "Slick." "Where's your horse?"

And almost any Mel Brooks film is great, except for "space balls" but my all time favorite is still "The Producers"

Did anyone catch my Johnny Depp reccomendations, at the end of the first page? I put a lot of thought into that post! :D

Erh, his and Burton's "interpretation" of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a blemish on an otherwise good record.
