Will this be what some children will be learning during the upcoming school year ? (I find it hard to believe my tax dollars will be paying for this.)

1. Dinosaurs and humans probably hung out
2. Dragons were totally real
3. God used the Trail of Tears to bring many Indians to Christ.
4. Africa needs religion
5. Slave masters were nice guys
6. The KKK was A-OK
7. The Great Depression wasn't as bad as the liberals made it sound
8. SCOTUS enslaved fetuses
9. The Red Scare isn't over yet
10. Mark Twain and Emily Dickinson were a couple of hacks
11. Abstract algebra is too dang complicated
12. Gay people have no more claims to special rights than child molesters or rapists
13. "Global environmentalists have said and written enough to leave no doubt that their goal is to destroy the prosperous economies of the world's richest nations."
14. Globalization is a precursor to rapture

On Tuesday, the Republican Party approved their 2012 platform, which seeks to undo years of legislation protecting-

reproductive choice-
"We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and endorse legislation to make clear that the
Fourteenth Amendment's protections apply to unborn children."
(Such an amendment would ban all abortion in the United States.)

marriage equality-
"We reaffirm our support for a Constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman."
disability rights-
"It is all the more important that the Congress...shall reject agreements whose long-range impact on the American family is ominous or unclear."
( U.N. Convention on Women's Rights, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities)
U.N. Arms Trade Treaty ????

affirmative action-
"...we reject preferences, quotas, and set-asides as the best or sole methods through which fairness can be achieved,
whether in government, education, or corporate boardrooms... Merit, ability, aptitude, and results should be the factors
that determine advancement in our society."

Discrimination is back on the table! The good ol' white boys club will decide who has merit, ability, aptitude,
and will decide who gives them the kind of results they like.

education-

Mississippi, the poorest U.S. state, has the nation's highest teen pregnancy rate.
Yet until this year, the state allowed schools to forgo sex education entirely.

Poor disadvantaged single mothers produce raw material for the money making machine-
For profit law system- getting paid to put disadvantaged children and teens through digestive system of the law
For profit voucher schools- getting government grants, funds and loans, to educate disadvantaged children(scam, fraud, abuse)
For profit prisons- incarcerate children and teens (The easiest prisoners to handle.) the highest profit makers
[Judges caught funneling children and teens into private prisons to get bribe money]
For profit welfare partner program- Force a single mother to commute to a far away job, that pays next to nothing,
and force her to neglect her child or her children. Her children are taken away and added to the system-
For profit security teams -replace police services with law enforcement contracts
For profit universities- prey on the desperate and uninformed- government funds and government loans make fat profits for the unethical.
(scam, fraud, abuse)

Christian based non profits reap government funds and grants

(They manufactured a hysteria against voter fraud. They had one case of "legitimate" voter fraud to base a campaign on.)

The voter fraud issue in Wisconsin kills me - there is only one clearly documented case (that I am aware of, anyway) of voter fraud in WI from the 2008 presidential election. It involved a couple who voted both in their home community and in the community in which they kept a vacation home.

They voted Republican.
