That is very common with certain medications used to treat BPH.

The good news is that there are various medications you can try that will not leave you with retrograde ejaculation. I had the same issue and told my doctor. He gave me something else and the retrograde ejaculation stopped.

I still don't produce anywhere near the volume of cum that I once could. I also can't shoot 4-5 ropes of cum across the room like I once could.

However, at least now I can still cum.

I have had them but usually it has been after a very sexually active period. I just figured there is no gas left in the tank. I have also experienced ejaculation without the sensation of orgasm. Again, that's after my dick has been well used.

I first looked it up on the net and it is retrograde ejaculation.
At my urologist appt. she said it was the flomax they gave me when I was in the hospital.

It was weird to say the least. Dr, told me it goes to the bladder and not a medical issue. Just wanting to pee better was the reason for flomax ...Since I couldn't pee and was ho.ding to much in my bladder 500-600 ml....

so when I stopped the flomax it took a few ejaculation sessions before it would cum normally, but it was clear like precum the first few times, until it consistency. Which I have never precummed in my life.It as strong, but the quantity started coming back...

Well it was a fine solo session. I tried to drag it out a bit. To accomplish that, I stopped and tried to relax. Out of nowhere I had a contraction and I single smallish spurt right on the ring made by my left thumb and fore finger. I held myself for a few seconds and treated myself to a taste. Yum! Got back to work and as usual, the taste often results in an uncontrollable urge to cum. The result was not really much more than usual.
I think it is silly to complain about orgasms. Yes some are better than others.

I have another med, Terososin I think it's called. I swwitched back to that for a few days and I was able to cum.

Within 3 days of starting (I was on a 0.8mg dose), my ejaculations stopped. That wasn't great, because my wife and I both like cum play, but figured we could live with it. But what was much worse was that the intensity of my orgasms dropped precipitously. I'd say on a scale of 1-10, they dropped from an 8 or 9 to a 3 or 4. And that sucked big time.

I emailed him and told him about it and said I was going off the meds, it just wasn't worth it. His response was, "Yeah, that happens sometimes."

Thanks, dude - if you had told me that upfront, I wouldn't have bothered and saved the $10! I'll get up and pee at night and enjoy better orgasms.

Mine had waned off by sixty with a unhealthy marriage. If you are concerned about complications from the side effect, speak to your doc. However, in general, if you're not trying to conceive it's not considered a problem.

No that's the original dosage. What I do is only take it every other night now, not a total cure but does help with ejaculation. Told Dr what I was going to do, he wasn't real happy but he was on board with it.

That is NOT true! I'm on tamsulosin and dutasteride for BPH. I've had several UTI's and read online that retrograde ejaculation can cause UTI's. My urologist told me this is NOT true at all. The semen goes into the bladder instead of shooting out. It is then thinned in the bladder and is peed out. Bacteria is what causes UTI's, not semen. When one has an enlarged prostate, the urethra is squeezed by the prostate. The result of this is that the bladder will not empty completely and bacteria starts to grow in the bladder. There is absolutely no cause and effect relationship between dry orgasms and UTI's. Fact.
