draw me a picture?

I noticed on the "I'm the Expert" thread that there are a few artists here. I've always wished I could draw well but I will have to accept that I'm shit when it comes to pencils.

I'd really love for someone to have a go at drawing the main character from my new novel, due to be here at the end of september. If anyone is interested please drop me a mail at slavemaster@sickpuppy.co.uk.

FYI I'd be looking for a 'pose' shot, viewing the character standing up, looking over her shoulder. It's kinda a gothic sci-fi image, think Alien / Quake 2 type scene: the girl has been modified with metal parts implanted on her body here and there.

I'll give full details (including some photos of models and some of my scribblings) to anyone who's interested in giving this a try.

Actually, it might be a good idea to develop this thread into a list of artists who would be willing to work as illustrators for authors other than themselves. What they would require, and how they should be solicited?

If this could be arranged, there would be many more entries into the illustrated story section. To this end, I am certain that Laurel would do whatever she could to arrange a credit line for story illustrator.

“At the very least, the blurb could start with: “Schaefer Felt-Tip illustrates this story by BoneDragger about a girl who chewed off more than she cared to bite. . . .”

That’s my two cents – but I have no illustrating skills – does anyone else have any useful thoughts from either side: Author or Illustrator?

Especially comments from possibly willing illustrators!

thanks for your offer - I like what you've done, you've got mail. I don't know why my email didn't work but I'll put some other addresses in my mail for you to try. the Blaster worm is causing all kind of havoc with servers at the moment...

I'm expecting to have the story on-line at the end of September. I'll definately give you credit for any artwork I post with it if you get something ready in time. TBH I'm not after a full story illustration - just two or three stills of the main character, I think they would be beautiful if done well.
