In WH40K, being a witch means that you eventually open a hole in the limit between the spiritual world, and the physical world. The spiritual world is full of demons that feed on souls, and they are subordinates of the gods of war and slaughter, illnesses and death, excesses of all kinds, and magic and mutation.

So... it´s not a nice thing to be in 40K.

(Admitedly, there are VERY FEW things that it is nice to be in it...)
