A fight's brewing. The vote was close enough to trigger an automatic recount.

(Bloomberg) -- Bridgewater Associates alum David McCormick and celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz are girding for a long legal fight in their too-close-to-call Pennsylvania Republican Senate primary, with Donald Trump already casting doubts on the outcome.
The race is expected to end with an automatic recount that threatens to trigger an intraparty battle over who rightfully won, playing out in a state where the 2020 election aftermath went all the way to the Supreme Court.

Oz’s fame helped him secure the endorsement of the former president, who is urging him to unilaterally declare victory. But as the outcome lingers, McCormick’s team has been canvassing his network at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and beyond to gauge their willingness to contribute to post-election efforts if needed, people familiar with the matter said.

McCormick’s campaign said Chuck Cooper, who handled Florida Senator Rick Scott’s 2018 recount and represented Texas Senator Ted Cruz’s successful campaign finance case before the US Supreme Court, is leading its legal efforts. Oz’s campaign said Megan Sowards Newton, who was general counsel for Jeb Bush’s 2016 presidential campaign and a former general counsel to the National Republican Senatorial Committee, is leading its legal team.

McCormick also hired political operative Mike Roman, a former Trump campaign aide, to call counties to check absentee ballot counts, the people said. In February, Roman was subpoenaed by the US House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol.

so oz got the nod but he's falling terribly behind when it comes to fundraising against Fetterman:

According to a report in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Fetterman has out-raised Oz nine to one, $9.9 million to Oz’s $1.1 million. And while Oz has also loaned $2.2 million to his campaign, Fetterman has five times more cash on hand.

Asked why, Oz replied:
“The Democrats have very cleverly taken all of these issues that have come up over the summer ― the Dodd decision, the concerns about guns ― and they’ve used these as excuses to raise money from the Democratic loyalists. Interestingly, when Republicans get mad, we go out and mow the lawn. Democrats, when they get mad, donate money to their party.”
Then, Oz urged everyone to donate to him while claiming he doesn’t need much money anyway because he’s the better candidate

is 'mow the lawn' the new euphemism for 'shoot someone' or does he have the right of it, that republicans are gutless wonders (albeit with very nice lawns)?

After watching his show arc, he’ll act like he has a voter mandate.
