Douglas Wilson and his views on women's submission

Not what I said. Deflection.

Not what I claimed. Try to focus.
You’re not a Christian, if you were, rejecting the principles of trump and Wilson would have been the FIRST words from your mouth. You’re a traitor to country and religion if you profess to this form of characterization of Christianity.
You bring it up as often as PEE PEE PEDO brings up pedo.

Welp, getting back to the topic on hand, ladies and gentlemen 🙂 - is what Mr.Wilson talking about really representative of how a sizeable, not mainstream, school of thought? Are women ok with the repercussions of that thought shaping policies?

Lol. You see his last post?
I’m out. YOU deal with this lying ass, goal post moving joke of a member.

Fuck Wilson and his trash.

🙄

Says ineedhelp1 who voted for Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice THREE TIMES…even after the Access Hollywood tape and revelations about Jeffrey Epstein & DonOld Trump sharing the same "interests"…

ineedhelp1 is a "Good Christian" (kinda like a "Good German")…

There was an article in the WSJ last week about how Douglas Wilson is gaining an audience in the current government. Interesting article to read, to say the least.

What I found particularly shocking was his views on women. Some of his quotes:
  1. Godly women are designed to make the sandwiches
  2. A man penetrates, conquers, colonizes, plants. A woman receives, surrenders, accepts (from his book Fidelity)
As a man who does find submissiveness in a woman alluring, albeit in the bedroom, it's still eye opening to hear things like that.

Would love to hear thoughts, especially from women who embrace submissiveness. Do you find his viewpoints appropriate or not and why?
Saying the quiet part out loud.

Mr. Wilson is free to believe whatever he wants. Government officials are free to hold any religious views they want, and they’re associate with Wilson if they choose.

I don’t think Hegseth should not have allowed a religious sermon at the Pentagon that was broadcast to other DOD facilities, unless attendance was voluntary and it wasnt held during normal working hours like the National Prayer Breakfast.

Similar to what @Rightguide said. Interesting perspective you both have shared. Thank you.

People unable to separate religious life from politcal service shouldn't be in those positions, full stop. Positions of leadership should be selected based upon experience in the field at an upper level tier.

Hegseth didn't have any senior level experience and lied to the Congressional approval committee about his stance on military policies.

The Christian Rightist, an known drunk, has distinguished himself as an ass: morally before the Felon selected him by cheating on his wife with multiple women, fathered a child by one, being a Fox News commentator [Subjective opinion on that one], mismanaged classified information, and, well, acting like George Patton's alter ego.

Britannica bio says, "Hegseth’s confirmation hearing was held by the Senate Armed Services Committee in January 2025, and it was highly contentious at times. Democrats questioned him about accusations of personal misconduct, including excessive drinking and infidelity. While denying some allegations, Hegseth stated “I’m not a perfect person, but redemption is real. I have failed in things in my life, and thankfully I’m redeemed by my lord and savior Jesus.” Other topics included women serving in combat. While Hegseth had previously spoken out against the policy, he said that “women will have access to ground combat roles.” Republican committee members largely expressed support for his nomination, and Sen. Eric Schmitt from Missouri suggested that his lack of experience was an asset, stating that Hegseth is “a breath of fresh air.”"

A national guard member frequently commenting on DJT's policies on Fox as a news commentator, rose to lead our National Military. Unqualified by any known standard, except expressed fialty, he exemplifies what a military leader should not be. Full stop.

Don't know anything about Wison.

What science are we talking about today? Y’all been playing fast and loose with “the science”…
CLimate change is a good place to start
But if thats too debatable for you, we can go back only five years to when science suggested we wear a little cloth mask in public to prevent illness and even death to which the right side had some major freakin issues...because you...know...selective science

Oh, you've gone and done it now, missy!
I predict a sharply illustrated meme featuring Fauci or Greta Thunberg will be soon coming your way! Just you wait.

It sounds like you’re not happy that Mr. Hegseth is our Secretary of War. Doesn’t sound like you’re a fan of President Trump either. You have every right to express your views and Mr. Wilson enjoys his right to express his views.

Dmallord doesn’t need me defending him, BUT I WILL will whenever a lying, racist ass like yourself tries to misconstrue the words he said. Certainly, one could possibly glean Dmallord’s opinion of hegseth and trump from what he posted, but he stuck to referring to facts about each. Either your lazy ass addresses those facts he stated or STFU.

Squire Hegseth is our Secretary of Defense. You are correct about not being a fan of abusive individuals, known liars, and individuals who are divisive 'leaders.'

Some here disagree with your view that I can express my thoughts. Those are MAGA folks. Not one 'Leftist' has ever told me to 'fuck the fuck off.'

Mr. Wilson, of course, can express his views, as everyone can here. No quarrel with that Constitutional right, unlike Hegseth and the Felon, I'm for freedom of speech.

Thank you very much. :)

Are you on the left?
I'm branded by some here as such. However, I have voted Republican sometimes: Eisenhower and Regan. Even voted for Ross Perot. Most of the time, however, it has been favorable for Democrats running for office.

I didn't vote in the last election. I spent too much time in the hospital, and voting wasn't on my mind. It wouldn't have mattered, as it turned out to be a disaster for Americans overall.

If Bernie Sanders were to run, he'd have my vote.

So, am I a left? Depends on the issues: civil rights, freedom of speech, jobs, homes, food, education for all, security here and abroad, and taxation with representation that is fair for all. Where does that place me? Please tell me what you think I am. [Really not that important to be a label, is it?]

I’m sorry you were in the hospital.

You sound like you’re in the middle slightly left. I’m a moderate.

You dictate what you are, anyone who has a problem with it- that’s their deal.

@dmallord May I ask why you voted for Raegan?

Also, Bernie is an amazing communicator, I generally really enjoy listening to him.
I didn't vote for him in the first term. But when he ran against Mondale in the second, it wasn't even a tough decision to make. Reagan's policies were better for the country, and his projection of strength just clobbered Mondale. The fact that Raegan won by such a significant margin in the second term supported my decision to vote for him, so I thought.

His economic and world political actions were generally effective. However, as for his social programs, that soured me because he didn't come through for the marginal folks.
