There was an article in the WSJ last week about how Douglas Wilson is gaining an audience in the current government. Interesting article to read, to say the least.

What I found particularly shocking was his views on women. Some of his quotes:
  1. Godly women are designed to make the sandwiches
  2. A man penetrates, conquers, colonizes, plants. A woman receives, surrenders, accepts (from his book Fidelity)
As a man who does find submissiveness in a woman alluring, albeit in the bedroom, it's still eye opening to hear things like that.

Would love to hear thoughts, especially from women who embrace submissiveness. Do you find his viewpoints appropriate or not and why?

Fair call. My apologies. It might be behind a paywall.

The article is titled "

Douglas Wilson Wants the U.S. to Be a Christian Republic. MAGA Is Listening.

the women who support this line of thinking (serve the man, make sure he is fulfilled sexually, sit at home and make babies and watch HSN, ask the man for his credit card...and so on) are living in 1950s America...or some other society where women are not viewed or treated as equals

Nor is a woman’s submissiveness any place for the government to be fucking around

No wait? Their body is the government’s civilian procreation vessel to rule. Someone can surely quote the appropriate “Handmaid’s Tale” scripture
Yup! This is what I want for my daughter !
Good thing I can still use my 2nd amendment rights, until those rights are limited.

In that article I shared, apparently he has been called in to deliver sermons to officials. The lines between church and state are being blurred real quick.

Probably no more than with the Founders or any other administration.

60 years ago we were a much more faith based culture. If anything we are going in the other direction, especially women..

Interesting. Care to expand more?
Religious leaders preaching or offering prayer to government officials isn’t rare; it’s part of a long tradition in the U.S., from George Washington inviting clergy to Congress, to Lincoln declaring national days of prayer, to modern presidents hosting National Prayer Breakfasts. The White House and federal government have always acknowledged faith in public life, while respecting that participation is voluntary. Hosting a pastor or interfaith service is simply continuing a centuries-old practice, not an unusual or unconstitutional event.

I always notice men giving me the eyes when I wear a muscle tee looking at Home Depot more than when I’m wearing a bodysuit and jeans. Oops, other way around.
