I, for one, am outraged.

Then again, perhaps they're just preparing her for the first time McCain gets pissed at her.

Call it a public service.

I'm one of those people that believes there is a double standard in the media when it comes to politics. We have heard all of the outrage (rightfully so) about the hateful things being said at McCain/Palin rallies. Where is the outrage over this??

I would be just as quick to correct an Obama supporter...maybe quicker. But I also don't feel that this, although I consider it to be majorly offensive, to be the same as shouting death threats.

I'm almost shocked to see a woman wearing that t-shirt.

One would assume that people with those kinds of feelings about Palin are liberals, correct? One of the great mantras of liberalism has been womens rights, and how women are portrayed.

So aside from the supposed liberal guys wearing the T-shirts, the supposed liberal woman is harming something that she's supposed to stand for.

I'm almost shocked to see a woman wearing that t-shirt.

Why? My observation is that a woman is must faster to use that on another woman than a man is.

I think the T-shirts are in bad taste (but as already said, not exactly a death threat or an incitement to riot).

That's disgusting. As soon as I see some supporting evidence, that this isn't just some set up by a blogger with a camera phone, I'll be even more outraged.

Does it concern you that certain groups are already quietly speaking about riots if Obama loses?

What? Fairness from NBC, CBS, and ABC? You are being funny right?
I am not at all surprised.

Of course. Because the MSM sees everything.

That's why they didn't tell us about the WMD's not being there, about the guy on the grassy knoll and about the conspirators who worked with Boothe.

Give me a break.

It would be, if I'd heard that from a credible source. I haven't. (Of Course, I'm not lapping every rumor up like some of the others of you seem to be doing.)

And I rather doubt it. As has been mentioned elsewhere, I think, this isn't in the nature of the types of people backing Obama. I think Bob G. refers to it as the Enlightened/Frontier divide.

They are just like you and Stella, they hate Bush so much they would promote Stalin as a better alternative.

I don't think most things that make the news are reflective of the normal backers of any candidate. It's always the radical fringe/few that make the headlines.

James Carville is credible when it comes to dem. issues.

I remember as they were preparing to announce the OJ verdict. I was managing an inner city Foot Locker. We were instructed to close up when the announcement was gonna be made, for safety's sake for my employees.

Of course, that was with the King verdict still fresh in all minds.

I have to say... that if we see Obama lose WITH the kinds of questions that we saw in Florida and Ohio... then I would say that there is an element that might be in danger of that kind of reaction.

It saddens me to think so... but although the proponents of that kind of reaction are much diminished, they do still exist.

From Brit Humes Political Grapevine, Friday.

A Pew Research poll says 38 percent of those surveyed believe journalists have been too harsh with Palin. Twenty-three percent say the media have been too tough on McCain.

In contrast, just seven percent think Barack Obama has been roughed up and only five percent believe that about Joe Biden.

Palin also gets the short end of the stick when it comes to fairness. Only 38 percent believe she has gotten a fair shake. Sixty-six percent say the media have been fair to Biden. Obama and McCain both came in at 60 percent.

They are just like you and Stella, they hate Bush so much they would promote Stalin as a better alternative.

Take it back or support it with credibility.

Stalin was a bloody handed murdering dictator. I would never support him.

That's fucking low. I would never say that about you.

I do know--because it has happened practically in my backyard--that McCain fired the Republican campaign chairman in Buchanan County, Virginia (Bobby May) for authoring a column in the local Voice newspaper that "if the Democratic senator was elected he would have rapper Ludacris paint the White House black and change the national anthem to the 'Black National Anthem.'" (Charlottesville Daily Progress, 12 October, p. A2).

This reflect a couple of things.

That McCain (at least personally, whether genuinely or not) is now trying to curb some of the racist lynch mob business in his campain.

BUT ALSO

That McCain campaign officials have felt they had license to engage in this type of racist lynch mob business.

Sarah Palin can only hope to get a "fair shake" from the press when she actually makes herself available to the press as a candidate running for national office should do.

Up to that moment, they have a full right to report whenever they are denied access to Palin or to her campaign rallies or to people who have attended her campaign rallies. Not only a right, but an obligation--and it's legitimate news.

If she wants the people's votes, she needs to understand she is accountable to the people who are voting. Just because her whole nomination was a hazy McCain "uppsy" doesn't qualify her for special dispensation.

DP, you are out of fucking control.

You are entitled to believe whatever you wish, of course, even though some of your sources are interesting, to say the least.

But these are personal attacks you're engaging in now. Without merit, without factual basis.

And you call liberals evil?

Look in the damn mirror. This is the last post of yours I'll bother to read.

Completely off topic here, but I take it you were an SR pilot??

I always loved the look and sound of them. I only got to see one fly once, but it brought chills to me. Very few planes have ever done that, but Habu was one of them.

Another time was the first time a B-1 came in low level, about .95 or so, 200 ft agl with the burners lit. The rumble just shook me to the bone. I'm sure you know what I mean.

I was in the AF for 6 years. Worked weapons on F-16's then crewed B-52's. That was a long time ago........... LOL

That's what all the Bush haters sound like, anyone but a Republican. Most are so rabid that I think they would choose Stalin in blind rage.
Or at least an unqualified twit.

For two years over Vietnam/Cambodia/Laos for the Agency--but I proved to be more appreciated in interpreting what the photos meant than in sitting up there at determined coords so the photos could be clicked off--so I was moved off to other "activities." Trained at Offutt; stationed at Utapao and Kadena--if any of those ring a bell. As noted elsewhere, never was in Air Force. The Agency flew its own planes, maintained by the Air Force (the Air Force did fly some Habus, though.)

I think they've called you out. Will asked for proof of some form, and you don't seem able to prove anything other than your opinion.

I hardly know anything about Will, and I don't know much more about Sarah than Will. I do know that I probably don't agree with them much when it comes to political issues, but they seem like decent people to me.

If you're going to call someone a Stalin supporter, you need to have something to back it up. It's a nasty thing to throw out as a personal attack simply because you don't agree with them.

I knew the agency flew some, but figured I'd keep it simple. Utapao was a bit before my time, but I went TDY to Kadena. I was in from 86-92. Two main stations was Luke AFB in Phx, and Eaker (Blytheville when you were in) AFB. Eaker closed in the post Soviet Union/post Desert Storm drawdown. I was half way through my second enlistment when the announcement was made. The two choices were to get out, or take a set of orders to KI Sawyer. KI is too damn cold for me, so I came home. LOL
