...people ask you a question in their feedback re your story, but don't provide an email address?

I'm hoping people will add endings to this sentence.

... you're deep into a scene and your pc decides it's too hot for you to finish it so it freezes up for you.

don't ya hate it when...

people say there are two kinds of people in the world--cat people, and dog people. And they have neither. Freakin' pod people.

. . . people give negative feedback and post as 'Unregistered'?

... people who post threads on the wrong forums.

e.g.

on the Author's Hangout, threads like: I just wrote a new story and I'd really like you guys to come give me some gushing praise (Story Feedback forum, please!)

on the Story Feedback forum, threads like: why any one donot write animal sex stories (Story Ideas forum, please, if you really have to, buttmunch)

And so on. Why can't people read that little explanatory sentence under the links to the forums?

Story Feedback
Post your feedback about Literotica stories you love or hate!

Author's Hangout
Have a question for the author of your favorite story? Need some help writing your own story? Ask in here.

Story Ideas
Have an idea for a story you'd like to see? Post it here!

See?

:D

...people don't finish their

So the story ideas section is not for discussing story ideas? I didn't read the labels properly... also, I imagined that when an idea takes off, each thread should turn into a brainstorming area.

I thought "Author's Hangout" was also...

the place the author's could go to communicate with one another, not just readers. That's the main reason I read this area more than any other- I want to see what other writers are doing, thinking and so on.

I have found that readers who really want to communicate with me send me an email, and we talk that way.

Ok, that's just my two cents
:rose:

I think the story ideas area is for discussing story ideas and brainstorming, too. I also think the Author's Hangout is where author's can talk things over - although there shouldn't be any restrictions on readers joining in, too.

What I object to is those posting threads to a forum when they blatently should be on a different one. Especially when it's trying to gain blanket coverage, like demanding feedback in all of the forums rather than just the feedback forum. But I'm sure this is just one of my own pet peeves.

Anyway, my subject seems to have hijacked Bicelebs's thread. So where were we?

don't you just hate it when...

...people get out of the wrong side of the bed and let you know it.

Don't you just hate it when

You're late, you've just put yur shoes on and the lace breaks off as your tying them and you know, just know, that there are no spares the right color.

Don't you hate

That's when you have to turn to the feedback board.

p.s. Speeling errors?

:D

Your story drops off the first page of the "New" category?

Time to write another one...

...your novella sits pretty on the Top Twenty list for months, and then the site undergoes a huge revision and suddenly your work loses all the votes it had earned?

...you're looking forward to a sandwich with your favourite filling from the shop down the road, you wait patiently for the clock to hit 1pm. it does you quickly make your way to the shop, trying not to appear desperate, when......................

THEY HAVE SOLD OUT OF YOUR FAVOURITE!!!

NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.................

...you set the video for your favourite sitcom only to find its a double bill special, so it only tapes on half of it.

...your muse has you in overdrive, you've been typing furiously for an hour, your PC decides to go haywire and you forgot to turn on autosave!

you get thoroughly addicted to the Lit forum

And then a huge lightning storm hits, ruthlessly destroying the internet of your entire pathetic dorm building for an entire weekend and leaving you the junkie a shaking nervous wreck?

Conversely I could say "don't you feel like dancing when it comes back on?" but damn I sure didn't feel optimistic for this past weekend. Balls to optimism. Balls, I say!

don't you just hate it when...

someone puts up a real sexy sounding thread and you look at it day after day after day and kick yourself for thinking it was something else?
