It was a fucking brilliant movie and you people would do well to think the same of it.

The Ninth Gate:

The Ninth Gate is a 1999 French-Spanish-American thriller film directed, produced, and co-written by Roman Polanski.

Well, all of that automatically excuses the film from having to make any sense, doesn't it?

It wasn't horrible. I watch it if i see it on. I think I liked it more than most did.

I just remembered that I saw it in the theater. Winner.

I liked Frank Langella burning up.

I liked it. Depp was a dick, and he got to fuck a couple of hotties.

Then there was this...

I don't like you much right now, because I just watched The Ninth Gate, and I'll never get that time back. (oh, who am I kidding? It's not like I was going to do anything better with that time...)

What a waste of a fun premise. Ugh!

Disappointed in Damascus,

I enjoyed that movie. It's not a high action movie, but the concept was rather intriguing. It's one of those movies that I watch every now and again.

Eh, it could have been a good movie, but it kind of lost steam at the end. That's how I remember it, anyway, it's been awhile.

Never saw it.

I also never saw Porky's and the American Pie series either until my friend found out and made me watch them.

I've also never seen the Godfather.

There's really no hope for you then.

i remember liking from hell for some silly reason. reading the graphic novel stopped that even though it too was incredibly silly. also, i watched it sober after watching it high. anyway, johnny depp is a silly fucker.

I found the film pretty intriguing, but couldn't finish the novel when I tried reading it.

I never saw it, but I'm far more concerned about Pink and The Godfather situation.

Ok. I watched it last night.

I'm guessing that Islandman must be somewhere in the royalties chain for this movie, I can't think of any other reason to recommend it - unless you collect Depp movies out of some sick compulsion.

Let us review:

It had:
*Depp as Depp - but with huge leather bound books.
*Some dark haired actress who took off clothes to get a movie credit.
*some blonde foreign actress who took off clothes to get a movie credit.
*some fat old white guy who sets himself on fire - this bit was why to see it - you can imagine the burning man is Vetteman and enjoy the movie even more.
