My Canon ELPH camera broke while I was on vacation- the film is stuck in it. I took it back to the store where I bought it today and got the bad news that the Canon ELPH cameras have been coming in at a rapid rate. It seems they last 2 or 3 years and then just stop working. The story is the always the same. No damage from dropping them, they just work one minute and then don't work the next.

Up until last week the camera worked great. I won't buy another Canon.

You know, I think most things these days are made to be practically disposible. Over the years, I've had many cameras and always found the ones in the $200 range lasted about a year or two.

I have the Canon G2, which I'm thrilled with so far. It was up there in price, so it had better last.

Sorry about your camera, Chey. That really sucks.
