Are you a crafter or are you just announcing our breakup with the inexpensive yarn store ....

I'm always looking for crafting things, modeling things, paint/brushes (repairing 2 train sets with lots of wear), lately I'm into making picture frames, need about a dozen for family photos. I fix alot of buttons zippers and such lately also, generally just a handy person. Places like JoAnns always have lots of interesting options. Otherwise I'm stuck with Hobby Lobby.....not a fav........

Happy International Women's Day.

The following is copied from a Knit Picks post:

“Knit on with confidence and hope, through all crises.” – Elizabeth Zimmermann 🤍

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate a true trailblazer in the knitting world: Elizabeth Zimmermann. More than just a designer, she was a rule-breaker, innovator, and educator who believed that knitting wasn’t just about following patterns—it was about thinking for yourself and embracing creativity.

At a time when rigid, flat knitting was the norm, Elizabeth revolutionized the craft, advocating for knitting in the round, Continental knitting, and self-sufficient design. She didn’t just teach people how to knit—she empowered them to take charge of their craft, trust their instincts, and create fearlessly.

From publishing her own newsletters when editors tried to change her work, to knitting on the back of a motorcycle (yes, really!), Elizabeth Zimmermann embodied the bold, independent spirit of women everywhere. Her legacy lives on in every stitch, inspiring knitters to break barriers, embrace innovation, and craft with confidence.

✨ Here’s to the women who challenge the norm, rewrite the rules, and create something extraordinary—just like Elizabeth did. Happy International Women’s Day! ✨
