These members of the 'Family' plus Allen Weisselberg and Jeff McConney have all been formally sued for civil fraud and Letitia James is seeking $250 million plus a bunch of other penalties which would put them all out of business. The basic contention is that they inflated property values to borrow money and deflated values on the same properties to avoid taxation.

A couple of observations:

1. It is not an easy prosecution because James lacks the jurisdiction for some issues and will have to rely on the IRS at least to pursue important elements.
2. Where will the 'Family' be able to find the necessary legal representation to defend these very complex issues?
3. How will the lawyers be paid?
4. Will they break the all comers record for pleading the 5th?
5. Will any of the accused break cover? It is interesting that James has gone just as hard on the children as she has on their father.
6. Trump 1 can run in 2024 seeking to avoid his fate, but his spawn cannot. Whether their interests diverge enough to drive a wedge between the defendants is possible but doubtful

Not really, because without a formal role, Jared would be much harder to pin down. It also presents Ivanka with a sweet dilemma; does she stand by her father who may be light on funds or does she move to her husband's camp where there appears to be rather more $. Even the most loving families fall prey to the lure of the $.

McConney is probably the weakest link. On the face of it he has always backed up the family and Weisselberg but we do not know whether he made any damning admissions to the Grand Jury. He will feel a lot of heat from Ms James because he has the capacity to bring them all down.
