Yep, me too. Took the kids last night, £10 to get in and we saw a really good show. Banning non-organised displays is a good idea imo.

as for getting the shows done buy 11, ther was a lw passed a few years ago that means on most days of the year it is actually ILLEGAL to fire fireworks after 11.

Actually November 5th and New Years are exempt allong with certain other days but 11 is quite late enough for most purposes so you won't find many professional displays after 11, even on days when it is permitted.

I don't think there are many proffesionals who wouldn't shut down all non professional firework sales. The fly by night discount "Blow your familly up for a fiver" firworks shops that open in October and dissapear by November 7th just give everyone a bad name.

Ahh..didn't remember they'd passed a law, could be why it all went quiet here so early lol.... our police don't have a great deal to do most of the time, so they probably kept a high profile

Yup... gets worse as you get older too.... rarely sleep past 7am now.... no matter what time I go to bloody sleep
