Yes, it was a little damp over here yesterday, I think we had over an inch of rain in just a few hours yesterday morning ....

But a much calmer and brighter day today, I'm glad to say ....

I think, except for some of the places in the US where Summer heat is almost unbearable, that in general the sun always makes a day cheerier and everything less drab. Just my thoughts.

I quite agree, Trent - I for one am affected very much by the weather; give me a bright, sunny day with blue skies and I'm instantly uplifted; conversely a day that begins like yesterday did will cover me with a cloak of gloom and doom ....

I think except for the few who really, really enjoy rainy weather, that the uplifting of sunny weather is pretty much human nature. It seems to cross regions, cultures, races, ages, etc.
Glad you have a sunny day to lift your spirits. The forcast here is for the same and it also looks like Indian Summer has broke and the cooler temps are actually coming here.

Yes, our little Indian Summer is over, I think - the temperatures here are gradually dipping and the nights are getting that little bit colder - they did mention a ground frost in some parts of the UK on the weather forecast the other night.

You are a bit futher north latitude wise.
When I say broke, earlier this week it was still in the mid / upper 80's F. Seventies predicted for the next several days. The nights are getting to the upper 50's and in the 60's mostly. Sorry, I don't convert to C well.
