Does True Love Exist?

"Tell me, my son, what is the greatest enchantment of all?"
'Why, love, Master, love; true love be the greatest enchantment of all."
---Dennis L. McKiernan

Some people seem to have found it, or it's found them.................so how can I disbelieve. I just feel that maybe it's something slightly different to each of us.

“ And with love comes grief, rage, compassion......all the other emotions that temper our lives.

And when we lose one we love-either by death, distance, etc-all we can do is try to understand that that person, even if they have exited our lives intentionally or through mitigating circumstance, that love will always be there, tempered by time, and moved to that region of our brain that allows us the bittersweet memories of that love.

...very profound....thank you....:rose:

Yes it does

But in different forms

When many talk of "love" they confuse it with overpowering lust, that sink in the stomach feeling that comes at the start of a relationship..that is but a pale imitation of what can deepen when you choose to spend your life with someone who complements and challenges you; who irritates and confounds you; someone you adore who adores you more in return.

True love isn't a chocolate box romance..it hurts, has times of boredom and phases you just have to get through. Life throws up challenges but if you love someone you think "fuck it, this too we can conquer together"
