Looking for love? I don't think that is possible. We can put ourselves out where love can find us, but how do you find something like love? I belive in true love- I just haven't felt, and sometime I wonder if I ever will.

I think that you can fall in love many times in your lifetime and all of those loves are "true loves" they are just different from the each other...it doesn't diminish that love or make it less...each has it's value.....but finding the other half of your soul...very rare I think, very rare

Love is something that comes in many colors. Like a tapestry. You can look back on your life and see that love revealed in the splendor of the tapestry.
You can love a brother, or a friend. A parent or a pet. A lover or a spouse. You can love someone you've just met and will never see again. I've seen true love in my parents ... married over 50 years, they have been a great example.
I believe in it firmly, and have great hopes for the future.
But I also think there are some who live life in such a way that put themselves out of reach of true love. Just like some callous people cannot understand the plight of those who suffer, there are people who used people throughout their lives, that they cannot really feel true love. I like to think those numbers are small, but I know those people exist, and I have no more pity for them than for the alcoholics who kill someone while driving drunk ... their lives are what they chose to make them.
For the vast majority of us, if we choose to find love, it is there for us.
