My first job when I got out of the military. Starting Salary 36,000. I went to look for an Apartment in Bloomington, Il. First two apartments I went to look at were brand new and gorgeous. Completely landscaped with nice parks. Little did I know when I walked in I was going to be turned away because "I made too much money and they were subsidized." The apartment I finally settled on was basically sitting on a parking lot. I was pissed off. If someone is down on their luck I don't mind helping them out but when they get to live somewhere better than me something is wrong when I'm footing the bill.
