No, the U.S. only needs to respond to direct threats with its strong military force, and not use that force to try to make every other nation on earth become some version of the U.S. or a U.S. colony.

The internal struggle in Viet Nam was not a direct threat to the U.S. Should have kept our nose out of that.

Never should have invaded Iraq.

Should have left Afghanistan immediately following a couple hard spankings of Al-Qaeda.

Should have never used military force for imperial empire building in the Middle East in the first place.

If you had ever stopped being so smug long enough to stop making shit up and read what I've actually said about Afghanistan for years is that we should have never run more than 1 or 2 firebases for CAG/DEVGRU supported by 75th/101st/82nd/10th to do wet work on high value targets.

Anything more would require a commitment to totally conquering and owning the place, anything less and a loss is just a matter of time.

I didn't opine that it was necessary, I just think that the global economy is the reason for a global police force. If that is the case, then corporations who benefit from that protection should at least pay taxes.
