The Muslim population in France is already above 5%, so some Muslim areas of the country are effectively under Sharia law. Jews, a favorite target of radical Muslims, are being forced to emigrate. And Muslim car burnings, riots, and terrorism are on the uptick.

This is demonstrably silly, but let's just file this under "People getting a voice in a population that disagrees with other voices."

I disagree that veils and face masks have not always been part of western garb.

As I said earlier, there are certain situations where masks are socially acceptable....masquerade balls and halloween being the two most common.

Bridal veils are typically sheer, so that the groom can be assured he's getting what he paid for.

The rest of the time, at least in Canada, wearing a mask in a public situation is
not acceptable.

You're partially right.
But… most of those 1.5 million reffugees are young men; and the women and children are still stuck in the war zone.

RE THE OTHER POINT YOU MADE
A similar situation happened over the last decades, in NZ. First immigrants where mostly dutch and asians, and were welcomed with open arms by the population.
But as the economy started to fall and some of their own started to struggle, the same people started to be less open towards the next waves of immigrants. (not my take on things; that's what I've been told by some NZers).

Who cares if the majority are young men? I've seen stats suggesting they both are and aren't and some that are pointing out that just because of how the system works you send the one most able to obtain employment first to pull the others. And the one most likely to not die en route. Regardless house on fire is house on fire.

The economy failing and blaming minorities is a tale as old as time. Americans blame it on Mexicans. Germans blame it on Jews and Europeans will soon blame it on Middle Easterners. And there is some legitamacy to the "argument". At least from the POV of the average Joe. Actually economists seem to debate on what effects immigrants have.

Who precisely is arguing that we should allow masks during situations where ID is required? Granted apparently picking up parcels is serious business in Canada. I have a key to my PO Box and in the event that something is too large for my Box they put a little card in that I take to the window where in theory they ask for my ID. In practice they take the card and bring me my shit.

The rest of your arguments could be held up just as well against glasses or that matter big hats. Trust me if you recognize me in my stetson and mirrored glasses you're damn good.

It has been big news in Quebec lately. A woman wanted to wear her nigab during her citizenship ceremony! Ahhh, they kind of need to see your face, when one is becoming a citizen, getting a license and a passport. Anyhow, she was outraged.

A couple weeks ago I had to go for an ultrasound and the tech was wearing a nigab. I was a bit uncomfortable with that. When I am having a medical procedure done, I would like to see the tech's face.

It's not a clown hat. It's the sign of a great warrior. Just because you have polar bears prepared to defend your property doesn't mean I do.

You wouldn't be able to wear those items for anything other than picking up a package at the post office. They generally accept that if you have the key to open the box and the card from inside the box that you are good to go.

In those situations you should not be able to wear anything that would alter your appearance. However day to day things are generally not legal. If for whatever reason you wanted to argue that places that accept your credit card should have you remove the items for identification purposes I'd mostly agree. I mean I'd point out that many places don't ask for my ID when I purchase things. I just slide my card at the store.

However I agree with that.
