Ummmm, my vote is for both. Usually Master either undresses me or has me undress myself before starting a scene. He's been known to leave me clothed, though, and sometimes I'm never completely naked. It all depends on what kind of mood he's in. As for me, I don't care either way!

There is no one way. Everyone plays different. If the goal is just a tie-up for the sake of a tie-up, it doesn't really matter what the pyl is wearing, now, does it? Jeans and a t-shirt to full rain gear to the infamous birthday suit, the attire is irrelevant to the point of the situation.

Well you cant take the clothing off but you can open them out weither by unbuttoning or undoing them or using scissors but when it comes to trousers/underwear you cant pull them off completely as they ankle restraints would stop that.

I think if a couple plays out bondage fantasies including the submissive bieng undressed by cutting through there clothing, then it would be costly buying new shirts or blouses and underswear for each session. Just my 2 cents.

if Sir thinks that he might be in the mood to cut off or tear off my outfit, he will send me to the salvation army to buy clothes that would be appropriate for the scene. on my most recent visit, the entire time i was to be in a "disposable outfit" consisting of : short skirt, thong, shirt with no bra. both days outfit's cost me less the ten dollars combined (the thongs i bought in a store but for 99 cents each). the point to this is, if your going to ruin clothing, there are ways to do it without emptying your wallet.
