I never get when responding to a post on a website, in this case Reddit, people feel the need to say they have sent a PM in the comment section. The person who has posted will see who has sent messages, there is really no need to point it out! It really winds me up!

There are people who don't check or read PMs. In the case of Facebook, a lot of people have disabled the PMs.
